Raspberry Suite Color Challenge 2

It is week two of Dawn's Raspberry Suite color challenge. I love this challenge. It is so fun!! I also got to use my new Papertrey Ink set "Wishing you" for the first time. I love this set!! Tulips galore! What's not to love?!
So here is the challenge:

And here is my card:

Colors:
brown - card base, tulip stamen (is that what those things are called?)
teal - tulip, twine through button
white - rectangle, sentiment, swirl, heart, tulip
moss - leaf and stem, scallops, button

More photos:
This rectangle with the hearts cut out is from another digital cutter kit by K Werner called Journaling Shapes 1 Designer Cuts.  How cute is it?!
I obviously have an obsession with my border punches right now! Also, I popped up the tulip on foam adhesive.
I tied teal twine through the button that I just bought in the Martha section at Michael's. There were 72 yards of 6 different colors of twine for something like four dollars. It may be the cheapest thing you can buy with Martha Stewart written on it! I also heat embossed my sentiment and swirl with white embossing powder.
Here is the final ensemble. I had to add one of the little cut out hearts at the end. They were just to cute not to glue to something!!

Thank you so much for visiting!

Have an amazing day,
kelly marie

I ♥ my AeroGarden

I seriously do!! My good friends, G & S, gave it to me so that I could have plants in my apartment (not enough sunlight comes in to grow plants without an AeroGarden) because I love taking care of G's flytraps and African violets so much. The first 5 months I had basil, chives and thyme growing in there. Well, now I have switched to flowers!! I am so excited! I am growing marigold, mini geranium, and mimulus. Woo!
Here are some photos of my new sprouts!

Color Inspiration Challenge #47 No.2

I had to do another challenge! :) As a reminder, here are the colors:

Here is my card:

I started with a cool angle shot this time to change it up a little :).

The colors:
chocolate chip - front circle frame, tree
tangerine tango - sentiment, leaves, brads in flowers
so saffron - inside circle frame, bird, flowers
whisper white - card base, inside card circle

This circle card was cut out with my silhouette from another one of Kristina Werner's digital kits called Card Shapes Designer Cuts. There are so many cool card shapes in it. I was having a bit of trouble because it seems that my silhouette wants to cut at whatever size it's feeling at the time, instead of the standard size that the kit was meant for. I wish I had the exact measurements for all the pieces so that I could make sure Craft Robo was cutting it correctly.

More photos:
Here is the inside of my card. The sentiment reads, "Keep a green tree in your heart and perhaps a singing bird will come." Isn't that beautiful? Also, I do recognize the irony of using that sentiment with an orange leafed tree. I am guessing the sentiment would ring true with an orange tree too :).

I am in love with these little flowers on the outside. I also love the flying bird. I just had to add it! Anyways, this card makes me happy. I hope it brings you some happy too :).

Thanks so much for visiting!

Have an amazing day,
kelly marie

Color Inspiration Challenge #47

Another challenge!!! Woo!! Here is Kristina Werner's challenge for this week:

Here is my entry:

As you can see I tried a new photo set up. What do you guys think? Do you like this or the other way I've been photographing?

The colors:
chocolate chip - strip of polka dotted card stock, "gracias"
tangerine tango - felt flower ribbon
so saffron - strip of polka dotted card stock, cloud frame
whisper white - card base, cloud

More photos:

I am just in love with the felt ribbon!
This cloud shape was cut out with my silhouette (here is a video of how it works) with one of Kristina's new digital cutter kits, called Journaling Shapes 1 Designer Cuts. Not only are the shapes absolutely adorable, but Kristina kindly included some AI files for us Mac users out there. Thank you!
I just love these colors together, they remind me of Fall!

Thanks so much for visiting!

Have an amazing day,

Storybook puppy!

Here's a cutie card I made for my friend J to give as a thank you card. Don't you remember these types of drawings in those little golden storybooks? I am in love with this puppy stamp. It is from sideshow stamps. They have some awesome designs that are really unique. Check them out!

There are some extreme angles going on! I will keep trying things until I find the best possible filming set up! I also have it loading in normal quality so that it is a faster load, you can click on the HD button to see it in HD. If you would like to see it larger over at youtube, click here!

Color Inspiration Challenge #46 No.2

I am participating in another one of Kristina Werner's Color Inspiration Challenges, AGAIN! I couldn't help it! I just kept going! Once again, here is the challenge:

Here is my card:

Here is how I used the colors:
basic black - flamingo outlines, flamingo beaks
riding hood red - flamingo
regal rose - flamingo
pretty in pink - flamingo
bashful blue - "gracias", picket fence

Here are some more photos:
I was so happy to use a Spanish sentiment. Here is a card I can send to relatives!
Some may question the blue picket fence, but, trust me, I am from Florida, and I can almost guarantee that there is a blue picket fence somewhere. There is probably a pink one too :).

I just love flamingos! They are the best! They really do come in different shades of reds and pinks, so it was fun to make this card!

Thanks for visiting!

Have an amazing day,
kelly marie

Color Inspiration Challenge #46

I am participating in another one of Kristina Werner's Color Inspiration Challenges. Yay!! So fun!! I had a hard time with this one at first, but I ended up having a blast with it. So here is the challenge:

And here is my entry:
Oh how I wish I had a light box to take better photos. I always have to take the photos at night, and I can never get the picture just right!
Once again I don't have these exact colors, but I got as close as possible! Here is how I used them:
basic black - balloon outlines, hedgehog, "what's up?"
riding hood red - balloon
regal rose - balloon
pretty in pink - balloon
bashful blue - clouds and bottom scallops

Here are some more photos of my card:

I love this sentiment! So perfect with the balloons that are flying away.
The balloons are popped up on dimensionals the right most balloon has two dimensionals for extra effect.
How cute is this hedgehog? I love that he looks a little "furry".

Thanks for visiting!
