Everything but the Kitchen Sink Challenge!

Welcome to another Everything but the Kitchen Sink Challenge. Our challenge this week is:Yes! Toothpicks!! We cannot wait to see what you guys make! There are so many possibilities! So go here to play along! There is an amazing prize this week, too! :) Also, did you see the winner and domestic divas for the last challenge? Check it out here!

So here is my toothpick creation! I broke them in half and colored them with a chocolate chip Stampin' Spot thingy. I adhered them all together with Crystal Effects on to the card base. I then stamped some flames with my campfire stamp from A Muse and cut them out and adhered them with Crystal Effects too. I really like how it turned out! It was fun to work with the toothpicks. Just watch out for splinters! Haha! :)
I made the marshmallow with liquid applique. So fun! The snow hill is just Stickles spread on card stock. That cutie penguin is Hero Arts, of course!

I cannot wait to see what you all make! I know you will knock our socks off! So come along and play with us! Also, check out the other EbtKS girls cards for inspiration!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I was so excited when there was another Raspberry Suite Challenge! Especially since it has so many colors. The more colors the better, I say!I had so much fun rolling these flowers in lavender moon and raspberry fizz ink!

I love Thickers! This font is super rad! The sweeties at American Crafts sent me this one!

I hope everyone is having a great Thanksgiving! We eat late here at my house, so I am preparing my stomach to be stuffed! I also finally found my canned pumpkin, so my pumpkin bread contribution is done!

embellishing the tree

please scroll down for today's other post
Another Embellish challenge here! I saw my jeweled brads in my little organizer when I was grabbing brads for my previous card, and I knew I needed to make a Christmas tree!
This tree is so cute. It's from Hero Arts. The red wood grain is Basic Grey and so cool. I really want to see a red log cabin now! :)
I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving tomorrow. I am so thankful for this crafting community. This card is for the Embellish challenge. This is definitely a difficult challenge but also really fun! You should check it out! I used the My Cute Stamps Sweet Kawaii set. I so love this set. It is the first MCS set I bought, and I still love it so much!
I just love that little winking candy. It's the cutest! I colored them in with Copics, cut them out and popped them up on foam adhesive for some dimension.

I hope you all are having fun getting ready for Thanksgiving. I have to go brave the grocery store now. Eek!! Call for backup if you don't here from me in a few days ;).

We all have so much to be thankful for, and I wanted to thank some sweet blogs and forums that have featured me recently! I was a winner on the Etsy Inspired Challenge. You need to check this one out folks, so much inspiration, so much freedom. I love it! I was a "fab 5" on 2 Sketches 4 You. I love this blog! It really helps me think outside the box! And I was also a favorite CAS card at Splitcoast Stampers. I just started participating over there (thank you to all my friends who encouraged me), and I love it! I am hoping after the holidays calm down to participate even more! So thank you to all of these crafty places for all of the inspiration!

you make my heart melt

I can't stop Moxie-Fabbing! I am totally into this old country thing! This time I decided to go for the folk art look. I think this rustic snowflake stamp from Paper Source is a perfect fit!
This might be my best white embossing job ever. Normally I get excess somewhere and have little white specks all around. Woo! Let's hope I keep this up :). Then I decided to use this sentiment for the pun again. Melting, snowflakes, etc. Cheesy, yes. Makes me smile, yes. :)
Card stock: Neenah Paper Environment (desert storm)
Stamps: Paper Source (rustic snowflake), Kim Hughes (heart warmers)
Ink: Versamark, Stampin' Up (wild wasabi)
Embossing powder: Whisper (sea foam white)
Buttons: Papertrey Ink (pure poppy)
Twine: Papertrey Ink (rustic cream)

it's Christmas time

scroll down for today's other post
So I did another version on this card below also for the 2S4Y challenge and for the Moxie Fab Christmas in the Old Country Challenge. As I said before, I love the Moxie challenge, but my old country is Cuba, so it is hard to relate! Let's hope I got it sort of right ;).
This time I went more literal with the sketch. I decided to get that "folk art" feel with my faux Basic Grey wall paper. I just had to use this fancy frame from Hambly. It is so cool!
This card is really busy compared to what I normally do, but it's really fun to step out of the box, and I do love the patterns of the Basic Grey paper! I did another pun again on this card because, well, I can't help it! haha! Thanks for looking at two clock cards, I hope I didn't make you too cuckoo! :)
Card stock: Neenah Paper Environment (desert storm), Recollections (light blue)
Patterned paper: Basic Grey (eskimo kisses), Hambly (frame wallpaper)
Stamps: A Muse (cuckoo clock), Technique Tuesday (start me up quincy), My Sentiment's Exactly (multi script)
Ink: Versamark, Stampin' Up! (wild wasabi, real red)
Glitter: Martha Stewart (crystal)
Punch: EK Success (embossed scallop)
Ribbon: out of a jar on my desk ;)
Embossing powder: Whisper (sea foam white)

Have an amazing day,

time for holiday cheer

This card is for the 2S4Y challenge and for the Moxie Fab Christmas in the Old Country Challenge. Now, I love the Moxie challenge, but my old country is Cuba, so it is hard to relate! So I really used her images as inspiration, and boy is there a lot of inspiration there! I love me some Moxie Fab! :)

I decided to use the cuckoo clock and do a punny Christmas greeting. I thought the felt was "old world" too. I just funked up the colors a little. The little candy border on the bottoms seems "old country" too. It's so cute! I did a different take on the 2S4Y challenge. Instead of having wavy card stock, I used a wavy sentiment with the "time for".

Now do you want to hear some INSANE? I do not own a "Merry Christmas" stamp. I have holiday cheer, jolly Christmas, peace, snowflakes, etc. but no "Merry Christmas"! What kind of crafter am I? This must be remedied!
Card stock: Neenah Paper Environment (desert storm)
Patterned paper: Basic Grey (eskimo kisses)
Stamps: A Muse (cuckoo clock), The Paper Studio (writer's type alpha), Kim Hughes (heart warmers)
Ink: Versamark, Stampin' Up (wild wasabi, real red)
Embossing powder: American Crafts Zing (rouge)
Ribbon: Michael's

My very first SCS challenge!

I am participating in my very first Splitcoast Stampers challenge! This is the clean and simple challenge (CAS41), and we are supposed to use Vera Bradley bags as inspiration. This is the one I chose.
The little polka dot border is from the Bloom and Grow My Mind's Eye kit. I also used My Mind's Eye inks that aren't from this collection but totally match! Yay!
Card stock: Neenah Paper Environment (desert storm), Neenah Paper Classic Linen (natural white)
Patterned paper: My Mind's Eye (bloom and grow paper and accessories kit)
Stamps: My Sentiments Exactly (multi script), Ali Edwards (loving words)
Ink: My Mind's Eye (coastal, sundress)
Buttons: Papertrey Ink
Twine: Papertrey Ink (rustic cream and jute)

sending birthday wishes

Scroll down for today's other post :)
I made this card using this week's Sketchy Thursday sketch. Torendi is the sponsor this week! I also used the Hero Arts idea of "trimming" this week, but using scraps that I had around. I also used stamped images that I already had and punched with the square punch to give it a new look.
I am so in love with these decorative blossoms from Hero Arts. They are just so cool! I also used my My Mind's Eye inks that I got from Peachy Cheap. They are so pretty!
Oh, Cosmo Cricket Earth Love. I can't stop using you. I am starting to do faux stitching more, and it's making me want whatever pen Kristina Werner has because either her pen is way better than mine or she is magic. I think her being magic might be the likeliest explanation.
Card stock: Papertrey Ink (dark chocolate), Neenah Paper Environment (desert storm)
Patterned paper: Cosmo Cricket (earth love)
Stamps: Hero Arts (decorative blossoms), Papertrey Ink (everyday button bits)
Ink: My Mind's Eye (coastal and sundress ink swirly thingies), Distress Ink (broken china)
Pen: Ranger Inkssentials white opaque pen
Dies: Jen Allyson Project Cuts DigiKit at 2Peas (elegant card)
Tools: Quickutz Silhouette, Computer, Ranger Inking tool and foam
Punch: 1.25" EK Success square punch
