Yay!!! I am just so excited about this! Hero Arts and Lawn Fawn have done a switcheroo and Lisa Spangler and I have swapped places for a week. It's just like Freaky Friday over here, and we couldn't be more excited! :) What does this mean exactly? Well, Lisa is over here at Lawn Fawn making projects with our stamps, and I am over at Hero Arts making projects with their stamps! We also have a little theme going this week: stamping on felt! It is just so much fun!
So let's get to know the amazingly fabulous Lisa a little better!
How long have you been working for Hero Arts?In 2005 I was invited to create card samples for the Hero Arts
catalog. It was so much fun! Then in 2006 I left my job as a
software engineer to work for Hero Arts full time. Now I stamp cards
for catalogs and the blog, teach at trade shows, and run the Hero Arts
website -- both the hardware and software. It's great being able to
satisfy my creative side and also feed my inner geek!
How would you describe your stamping style?
I like to think of my stamping style as happy and fun! I love using
bright colors, witty sayings, and lots of bling. :)
Most importantly, what is your favorite dessert?
I love mostly ALL desserts -- especially donuts, cupcakes, and
anything with chocolate -- ha ha ha! Right now I am craving green
tea ice cream, tho. This time last year I was lucky enough to get to
go to Japan and there was green tea ice cream everywhere. YUM.
And now it's time to see what Lisa did with Heebie Jeebies and Harold's ABCs!
Could this card be any cuter?! I absolutely love the pink and grey for the color scheme! The stitching is the cherry on top! I love how she made the Heebie Jeebies's bats into a lovey-dovey card by creating her own custom sentiment! Brilliant!
Here are Lisa's felt bats. Stamping on felt adds so much fun texture to card. It is so much fun that it is addicting! I hope you try it out soon! Also, if you look closely there might just be a sneak peek from next week's Lawn Fawn release. Can you see it? :)
I hope you guys are having a blast with swap! Make sure you head on over to the Hero Arts blog to see what's going on over there too!
While we're at it, let's give a Heebie Jeebies set away!
Just leave us a comment by Wednesday at 11:59PM EDT telling us if you have ever tried stamping on felt, and we will pick a random winner!Patterned paper: Basic GreyStamps: Lawn Fawn (Heebie Jeebies, Harold's ABCs, a sneak peek of a new set to be released next week!)Ink: Distress Ink (black soot), Memento (london fog)Etc: Michael's felt
Thank you so much for visiting and joining us in our blog swap!
Have an amazing day,

I havent ever stamped on felt...but seeing the inspiration...I feel that I am going to do that soon :)
ReplyDeleteThis is such a cute card put together by Lisa :) I liked the concept of both of u swapping places :)
What a fun swap, never stamped on felt, but I have used felt in a few cards.
ReplyDeletegreat idea to stamp on felt - never have done this before - have to try it out though ;)
ReplyDeleteNow that sounds like it's going to be a fun week on both blogs :-) I really like the look of the stamped felt, though I haven't tried that myself.
ReplyDeleteLOL... I'm an "anonymous" stamper / commenter - has it really already come thus far? ;) Anyways, I'm looking forward to what you both have in store for us this week!
ReplyDeleteKelly, what a fabulous and fun idea. I just love it. It is cute and quirky, just like you and your stamps!! I have never stamped on felt and definitely have been thinking about it lately. This project just sealed the deal. Did I read the supply list correctly? Michael's crafts sells felt? (This comment isn't being left for the contest because I already own Heebie Jeebies and as a matter of fact made a card early this morning using it before even seeing this post, HA HA HA! So please don't include me in the drawing!!!)
ReplyDeleteHm hm hm, the hearts on the background paper, are they a part of your newest release maybe?
ReplyDeleteReally love the colors on this card, love the bright colors on the grey background! Those bats are so cute, and the turqoise stitchings are so cool!
