Hello and welcome to the second sneak peek of Lawn Fawn's September release! We are SO excited about this release! It is filled with holiday fun and a "basics" type set that you will love! We have three stamp sets, and they will be for sale on September 16th at 12:01 am EDT and until then we will have sneak peeks and giveaways and lots of fun inspiration!
We already have two places you can leave comments to win:
Release week post
"Harvest Season" sneak peek post
AND today's post too! :)
Today is our showcase of "Teeny Tiny Backdrops". This 4" x 6" set is a new type of set for us. It is a background creator with a little twist! These background stamps are 5.75" long making them more than long enough to cover the front of a standard sized card! No more stamping, then stamping to the side again, anymore! When we decided to make background or as we call them "backdrop" stamps, I just knew we had to make them to cover the front of a card. These are some big stamps! :)
The design team has some amazing samples for you, and I also have a little video on the bottom showcasing some features of the set!
Remember to click on the person's name or card to see all of the details and leave these wonderful DT girls some comment love! :)
Tiffany's layout and card are absolutely amazing, and not just because her boys are the cutest ever! I love the way she scattered different patterns from Teeny Tiny Backdrops around the layout. The color palette she chose really makes these patterns perfect for a boy, and Tiff shows how well these stamps could easily cover a 12x12 layout! Her matching card is just too fun! I love the pattern just stamped in the middle! Adorable!
Latisha's card is girly to the max! I love the way she covered the bottom of the card with the music notes from Teeny Tiny Backdrops and then used the larger music notes from Sophie's Sentiments to really bring the pattern out! (Can you tell that all three of us at Lawn Fawn are musicians? :) ) Using Teeny Tiny Backdrops is also a perfect way to showcase those long-hoarded embellishments like this gorgeous rose!

Lynnette's card is so pretty! I love the way she created her own patterned paper on the top using Teeny Tiny and then combined it with the texture of dry embossing on the bottom! So perfect! Lynnette shows us that a sentiment as a focal point is sometimes the perfect thing! Especially for a thinking of you card. Her sweet flower ties everything together!
Mariana had a lot of fun with the stars of this set! She heat embossed them on a strip of paper and then combined that with other strips! This is a great way to incorporate these backdrop stamps with patterned paper that you already have (or are looking to buy! hehe!) The acetate star in the middle is just perfect! She stamped the stars in white on the acetate star for her own custom embellishment! I love it!
Danni made these amazing candy bar wrappers! You have to go to her blog to see more details! By changing the pattern from Teeny Tiny that she used and the colors and combining with other stamp sets or patterned paper she was able to make these for 3 different holidays! The great thing is that since these stamps are so long, stamping a candy bar wrapper will be a breeze and the perfect handmade treat for the upcoming Halloween and Christmas celebrations you might be going to! I know I can't wait to try this! :)
Make sure you click on each of the design team's names or pictures to go to their blogs and see the details of how they made their cards. You will walk away inspired for sure!
Now, I have a little video for you showing this set in action and how to make some quick cards! I hope you enjoy it! Watch it below or at You Tube.
I hope you have enjoyed this sneak peek of "Teeny Tiny Backdrops". Tomorrow we have a Christmas/Holiday set that I am so excited to show you! Get ready to smile! :)
For now, though, it's giveaway time! Leave me a comment telling me about an embellishment you've been hoarding by September 15th at 10:00pm EDT, and we will randomly pick one winner!
Make sure to come back tomorrow, Wednesday September 15th, at 12:01am EDT for our next sneak peek day!

Teri's card is just so much fun! I love how she stamped the patterned on different strips of colored paper and then patchworked them together. It is just so fun, and such a cool way to show off a backdrop stamp! This idea could be translated to the stars or music notes of Teeny Tiny Backdrops, too. Just change the colors or the sentiment and this card is ready to go for any occasion!

ReplyDeleteThe little hearts are adorable!
ReplyDeleteEmbellishment that I've been hoarding... I don't buy much in the way of embellishments. I use buttons and ribbon mainly. I do find myself wondering if the card recipient is "ribbon worthy" when I'm running low on a particular favorite.

Hi! I hoard ribbon and wish I had MORE of it! XOXO
ReplyDeleteWell, I must confess that there are a few things that my dearly departed Stepmother and Mother in Law gave me (they both supported my stamping habit) that I can't bear to use. Maybe someday I can use them, I have a beautiful frame in blue with flowers on it, it's a thin metal so it will fit on a card, and I have some card suit eyelets that I don't use. Too many fond memories of the women who gave them to me. :)
ReplyDeleteClear & cling stamps..i feel like I never have enough and continue to buy these more then ANYTHING else... i ADORE the hearts & music notes - oh so so cute!

ReplyDeleteI am only a beginner, so it's early days. I have an old passion for buttons though. Really like the look of the new set!
ReplyDeleteI hoard all my embellishments! I have a serious issue with not wanting to use things up, but I'm sure they would look better on a card instead of hiding in my drawer!
ReplyDeleteLove the cards today. You might have to get your DT to show us a "how to" in "perfect card photography"! Just too beautiful.
I really like background stamps. So versatile
ReplyDeleteGreat projects Great stamps! Can't wait for tomorrow's sneak! :)
ReplyDeleteI hoard stitched brads... partially because I'm never quite sure how to use them (I make cards, I'm not so much of a scrapbooker), but mostly because I think they're just so cool!
Love the little backdrops! I really like the long length . . . hmmm what embellie do i hoard? That would be all of everything from paper to ribbons to stickers to brads . . . sheesh! But i'm getting better about actually using it all :)
ReplyDeleteCute & super useful background stamps - the tiny heart backdrop stamp is adorable. I love that these stamps are wide enough to stamp the width of a card. Hoarding wise, I find it difficult to part with any of my giraffe-themed embellies.
ReplyDeleteThis is a brilliant set of stamps. Please get someone in the UK to stock your fabulous stamps.
ReplyDeleteWow! This is unlike anything else I've seen and I love it!! I'm a hoarder of letter stickers. I buy them and then don't want to mess them up by using them. That's not weird, right?
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteFun video, can't wait to see the final release! Not sure if Gill (two comments above will see this) but you can buy the stamps over in the UK at makethedayspecial.co.uk. My trouble is I can't wait for them to come in and have to order on the day of release!! :o) The embellishments I'm hoarding are my polka dot buttons, I love them!
ReplyDeleteI have some sparkly jewels in yummy colors that I haven't used yet. I mail most of the cards I make for friends & family so I'm afraid they won't make the trip safely. The new background stamps are so clever & useful. Thanks
ReplyDeleteI love this new stamp set! How cute! I've been hoarding quite a few things for a very long time. Number one would be my paper flowers that I have from many different companies. I hardy use them, because they never seem to fit just right. Sometimes I think I should give them away, but I always seem to change my mind.
ReplyDeleteNot sure which I am REALLY hoarding but I seem to have a lot of ribbon and die cuts that I had to have but haven't really used. Fun little background stamps!
ReplyDeleteSuch cute backdrops! They're all fantastic, but I especially love the music notes. They're just darling!
ReplyDeleteAs for hoarding, I don't have that much to hoard just yet, but I do tend to save my favorite patterned papers. I'll use them when I have the perfect card in mind for them, but I don't want to waste them before I do. :o)

ReplyDeleteI have lots and lots of embellies I am hoarding to be honest but one in particular I really cannot figure out what to so with it this beautiful flower I have had for like 3 years now - lol. It's pink lighter on the bottom and then dark pink with a touch of glitter on the tips of the petals it's a rose and I dont know what it's made of but it really looks real! and I just can't seem to part with it. One of these days soon though.

ReplyDeleteI love the tiny backdrops! How sweet! I love little things, especially since Im only 4 foot 10 inches tall!! LOL
ReplyDeleteWhat is the embellishment that I have been hoarding? Well it is actually a set of chipboard angel wings and the word "Angelface" that I bought to use on my daughters upcoming birthday card. I have called her my Angelface ever since she was born and every time I say it, her face lights up. I still have to hold onto it until November 8th, but am looking forward to using it on her birthday card.
Thanks for the chance to win one of the new sets..I love every one of them! Thanks for the great work that you do.
~Andrea
