*I decided to post this post early because it's World Card Making Day and the Lawn Fawn blog needs some cards on it! Hugs to you all!*
Hello and welcome to the first sneak peek of Lawn Fawn's October release! We are SO excited about this release! It is filled with holiday and winter fun! We have four stamp sets, and they will be for sale on October 7th at 12:01 am EDT and until then we will have sneak peeks and giveaways and lots of fun inspiration!

Today is our showcase of "Bows and Holly". This 4" x 6" set is perfect for Christmas and even has year round uses, too! The design team has made the most amazing samples! I also have a little video on the bottom showcasing some features of the set!

Maile has made such a gorgeous card with the mistletoe stamp. I absolutely adore it! She used the bow from the wreath to "tie" the mistletoe together and by just using the "Merry" from the "Merry Christmas!" stamp, it gives the sentiment a whole new feel!
Lea's card is a paper pieced beauty! I absolutely love how she did the twine over the bow, too! It is just so fun! The gem is such a great touch, too! The rounded edges on the bottom are just so cool! I love them layered like that!

Latisha's ensemble! Her card shape is so cool and perfectly frames the beautifully colored wreath. Her bag is too cute! The large size of the "Merry Christmas" sentiment is perfect for cards and for treat bags and other Christmas-y items! She also used the holly image from the set on the bag, too. The baker's twine ties both projects together so well!
I just adore
Mariana's card! The glittered bow over the paper pieced present is so perfect! I also love the stitching. It adds such a warm feel. In this card, Mariana layered the Merry and Christmas to form a shorter, taller sentiment. I love the different feel it has!
Teri's card is just so sweet! I love how the wreath is hanging off of the red ribbon! Also, how amazing is that glittery wreath? I absolutely love that! The gems as the berries is so perfect! I love that Christmas just helps us bring out the glitter and gems!
Danni has a super cute bag and card ensemble, too! I just love this idea! She made a great background with the large Merry Christmas sentiment, and she also shows the cool tag image from this set and one of the sentiments that fits inside of it! I just love that tag, and love the idea of a tag on a present on a bag holding a present! :)
Lynnette's card is just so pretty! I love the purple she added! Also, isn't the wreath just a perfect fit for Spellbinders Labels 9? I love the way she added the holly on the side of the sentiment. It is so sweet! The offset scallops are super cool, too!
Tiffany has made the sweetest advent calendar! I just adore the present stamped off to the side of the tags, and I love that they are glittered! She used t pins to attach her tags and bells and bows to a corkboard with burlap over it in the frame. So cool!

My favorite Christmas present ever was probably a puppy my family got at the beginning of December when I was really little... he was a favorite companion of mine for over 10 years, and on Christmas I put a bow on him!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite present was probably one that I bought myself, my car. But my mom was cute and put a bow on it for me for Christmas. :) The set looks super fun!
ReplyDeleteMy fave holiday gift when I was a little girl had to be my very 1st Cabbage Patch Doll! Till this day my mom still has it. It's somewhere in a box but hey, she kept it for a very long long time! That was about 30 years ago!!!
ReplyDeleteMy Favorite present was a little Winnie the pooh bear dressed as an angel. I got it from my little brother and I thought he was it was the cutest thing ever. It was so sweet of my brother to get me something even though he didn't have to.

My favourite present was a necklace that my parents gave me. My sister got one to. My grandmother had a ring full of diamonds and emeralds - it was also nothing that either of us would wear. They couldn't decide who to give it to, so my parents had the stones removed and re-set as two necklaces. My sister & I were both in tears!

With my husband being in the military, he deploys a lot so I am grateful when he is here to spend the holidays with us.... And then to be more materialistic, my favorite Christmas present from my childhood was a cute little dog with a big red bow. My favorite Christmas gift i would like to get (this is when my husband starts telling me to come home from Laurel Land) is a new car with a bow on it! :)
ReplyDeletemy favourite christmas present was when i was about 5, i got a bunny. we lived in pakistan and i loved going out to the villages with my dad and chasing the rabbits...i was a little obsessed! and then for christmas i got one, her name was bright eyes, she was beautiful and i will always love her!!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite present was being able to spend quality time with my grandfather over the holidays a few years ago. He passed away in January shortly after my trip home, but I still have good memories and family photos to remember him.

I have a charm bracelet and once every few years or so my Mom and/or sister get me a new gold charm for it. I will treasure this as my own little heirloom and leave it to my daughter someday.

Ohhhh-that is a hard one! I know - when I was five my grandparents left a trunk that was from Santa at our house while we were out of town. I used that doll trunk for years and I still have - waiting for my daughter to be old enough to have it. It brings back wonderful memories!

Oh my gosh Kelly... I'm in LOVE with this set. I'm not one to buy too many holiday-related sets, because I like having the versatility of a set all year long, but I LOVE this one. It's so coming home to me on release night. :) My favorite present ever was a book that my mom had bought for me about 10 years earlier and misplaced. When she found it, she wrote notes in the margins and then sent it to me at school. I laughed, cried, and smiled as I read it. It was so sweet. :)

Oh... so cute Kelly! Love the images and the font of the sentiments! Great set!! Hmmm... favorite holiday present?!?! I think it was a giant picture that my husband gave me a few years ago. It was a giant canvas pic of me and my little man when he was just a wee little man. It was taken at the Christmas parade that year! It hangs in my bedroom and I see C's sweet little fat cheeks every morning when I open my eyes!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite Christmas present is just being around family we live all over the place and try to get together for the holidays. I miss my family and as I get older it's getting smaller and smaller with parents gone and aunts and uncles so cherish who is left.

I adore my engagement ring and told my husband I would love to someday have a marquee(my engagement ring has three, plus some baguettes) solitaire ring someday. This was only a few days before Christmas and we had already bought our gifts for each other. He went out with what little money he had and found me a tiny little marquee cut diamond solitaire ring. It was the sweetest moment and reminded me why I married him in the first place, he is just the sweetest guy!

My favorite gift was a diamond heart necklace that my husband (then boyfriend) gave me because he had the jeweler take the ruby that was in it out and he picked the diamond out and replaced the ruby. He said, "The song isn't a Ruby isn't a girl's best friend." I thought that was sweet because he was going to college at the time and I know $ was tight and I knew he was a keeper.

ReplyDeleteAs for my favorite gift...I am heading back to my childhood and the year my sister and I received Cabbage Patch Kids - yes, all the way back to when they first came out -hee, hee, hee. We were so excited, we got up before my parents and when we saw the boxes we discretely peeled back tape so we could take a peek - ahhh, the memories!

ReplyDeleteEvery year we, as a family, get a meat and cheese basket, or two. I really like the contents of the basket but it's always the basket that I cherish and reuse! I keep every one of them! I have a great assortment now of colors, shapes and materials. So fun! One for every season and holiday! LOVE THAT about the Holidays!

ReplyDeleteI am from Holland and we do St. Nicolaas(Sinterklaas) on the 5th of December as I child I loved all my gifts because every year I wanted another thing..but ones I got make-up stuff and a beautiful handbag and portemonnee I was so proud of it(I was 8 years then)
With Xmas I was so happy whenn all the family was together this was my biggest present!
I really loved the necklace my partner got me, the first piece of jewellery he bought me in 5 years of being together, I wear it everyday.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite present ever came from a guy friend in high school. I would always steal his red Skittles, so for Christmas, he bought a giant bag from Costco and picked out all the red ones and put them in a baggie for me! So sweet!

ReplyDeletemy dh (then bf) got me a vase i really wanted from crate and barrel. he managed to buy it without me noticing and then transported it in a huge duffel bag. i accused him of hiding a body and making fun of how many clothes he packed, but the bag was holding the vase. we still laugh about it now.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite holiday present was a doll. She had brown eyes, like mine. She also had long hair that you could brush, and she came with 10 outfits that matched many of my own! I never could figure out how Santa managed that! His elves must have gotten the patterns from my mom, who made my clothes!

ReplyDeleteSome very gorgeous sneak peaks there! My favourite holiday present (apart from seeing family) are the things my hubby gets for me. In 2008 it was a Fiskars trimmer. I had been needing a new one but hadn't looked into which would suit me best. He picked the perfect one for me, before I even knew it would be just right. And last year he got me an aroma diffuser, something I never thought I would want or need. We use it a couple of times a week with different oil combinations and it results in a perfect nights sleep!

Growing up, my favorite present was a pony. My parents had to make huge sacrifices to be able to purchase him for my sister and me. It was a dream come true.
My most favorite present is a bottle of Chanel perfume..Still have it! i'm nuts about perfumes!

My favorite Christmas gift ever was actually just the presence of my whole family together for the holidays. I moved to a different state and a few of my siblings stayed behind for work and school. It was just great to have us all back in one home again.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite holiday gift would have to be my plug-in tea kettle. I love it so much, not just for making tea, but I'll use it to heat water up real quick for soup or mashed potatoes or whatever. It's so handy!
These cards are all so lovely! This stamp set just says "Christmas" to me. My favorite gift was an 15" fashion doll (Tresi - her hair grew) and full wardrobe made by my Mom when I was 10 years old.

ReplyDeletemy favorite present - was the year I finally got my ring - we'd been married 7 years, but never had a wedding ring - hubby boxed it about 15 times so it took my almost 30 minutes to actually open it - what a nice surprise!
My favorite present right now is that cute little gift stamp! My favorite that I have received is my Tiffany ID tag bracelet that my hubby gave me last year. It really is a thrill to have that robin egg blue box in your hands!
