Everything but the Kitchen Sink Challenge #12

Hello and welcome to Everything but the Kitchen Sink's challenge #12! This time our host is the beautiful Winter, and the item she picked is string!
I took a bunch of embroidery floss that I had in a drawer that I had never used and created a colorful tightrope for this elephant to walk along! I just lined them all up, tied a knot in the back, and put glue dots in the back to hold the string in place.
I am crazy in love with this Hero Arts stamp set. It is just so gorgeous! I got to spend this weekend hanging out with Ryann, Tiff, Melody and Rachel. It was such a blast and Ryann let me use her Copics which meant I had enough to shade stuff finally! Hehe! Of course, now I want more of them because it was so fun! I also FINALLY have a corner chomper that works. I ordered it from scrapbook.com, not HSN this time. I guess that was the trick!

The prize this week is $15 to The Digi Chick! Woooo! So get out your string and play along! We cannot wait to see what you create! Click here to go the post and Mr. Linky!
Card stock: American Crafts Bright - from Torendi's "Framed Cuteness" kit
Stamps: Hero Arts (exotic decor)
Ink: Memento (tuxedo black)
Markers: Copic
Stickers: American Crafts (coffee bliss glitter thickers)
STRING!: DMC floss
Tools: Corner Chomper

Miss U

Hello everyone! I wanted to do a full post on this card because I wanted to show you this fun way to use Petite Florals and because the Moxie Fab Picking Up the Pieces challenge is all about paper piecing which is my new obsession. I seem to be paper piecing everything! Woo! Thanks for the awesome challenge, Cath! :)
So, I went Petite Florals crazy! First I stamped the different flowers on the card stock. Then I stamped them again on these gorgeous Jenni Bowlin Homespun mini papers and cut them out. After I cut them out I rolled their petals slightly inward for dimension and then adhered them over the stamped images on the card stock. I used different levels of dimension on each of the flowers too: adhesive, rolled up glue dot, thin foam adhesive, thick foam adhesive.
I love these Jenni Bowlin banner stickers! They are just so adorable! They come with the coordinating letters so you can spell out whatever you like!

I hope you liked seeing this fun way to use Petite Florals. They would look great for any season too, if you changed up the patterned paper. I can't wait to make some fall Florals! :)
Card stock: Bazill (sandbox dotted swiss)
Patterned paper: Jenni Bowlin (geo flower Homespun collection, Homespun mini papers)
Ink: Ranger Adirondack (espresso)
Stickers: Jenni Bowlin (Homespun banner alpha stickers)
Ribbon: Offray

Happy Fall?!

Hello! Happy Fall, you ask? Well, I thought it might be fun to do a Fall card because I have been wanting to use the acorn in Critters in the 'Burbs so badly!

I was inspired by the CPS sketch this week, but as usual, did not stay very true to it! I absolutely love challenge blogs and always want to acknowledge the inspiration they provide so many of us, even if I am incapable of following a sketch. Hehe! :)

I love this Cosmo Cricket ribbon that I got on Peachy Cheap. Oooh, that site is dangerous! I had so much fun using my tiny attacher, that I think I went a little crazy with it!
How cool are these Nerdy Bird Sassafras stickers from Torendi? Love them! They have to perfect amount of glitter. Make sure you check them out and the other new goodies at Torendi! :)

I had so much fun coloring the squirrel and acorns and then "piling" them up with different levels of adhesive (atg, glue dot, thin foam, thicker foam). After I made this card I realized that it is totally the Fall version of this card. Haha! I didn't mean to do that, but it is kind of fun to see Critters in the 'Burbs in the Summer and Fall looks!

Guess what? We added a cool new feature to the website! You can now be signed up to be notified when an item comes back in stock in the Lawn Fawn store! That means that you will be the first to know when something comes back to the store! Wooo! Just go to the page of the item you want, for example, the Sew Lovely page, click on "sign up to be notified when this item becomes available" and follow the directions from there! I hope you guys like this feature! Also know that Sew Lovely is being made as we speak (as I type?), and we are working on new sets too! Eeeek! I am so excited about them!

Card stock: American Crafts
Patterned paper: Studio Calico (english), Cosmo Cricket (nutmeg)
Ink: Ranger Adirondack (espresso)
Markers: Copic
Stickers: Sassafras (nerdy bird glitter alpha) - sold at Torendi
Tool: Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher
Thank you so much for visiting!

PS. Don't you think Jenni Bowlin and Petite Florals are a nice match? :)

shine

Hello! First things first, some business! "Sew Lovely" has sold out! Oh my goodness! I just can't believe it! But don't worry, our manufacturer is hard at work making more, we will update you when they are back in stock! Make sure to sign up for the newsletter in the side bar! Thank you so much for all of your support!

I decided to play along with Get Sketchy and as usual, I flipped the sketch and then didn't follow it all that well! Haha! I swear, I try! Either way, Get Sketchy is great inspiration, so thank you guys! :)
I had fun making this card! The "grass" is pleated Basic Grey paper. Who wouldn't want doily grass is the first question. The second question is who wouldn't want a music paper tree and a word covered trunk? hehe! :) I stamped the bird from Critters in the 'Burbs on some patterned paper also, and cut him out. I added glossy accents to him and stickles to the tree top. I added this American Crafts Dear Lizzy rub on as the sun. I just love this rub on!
Card stock: Papertrey Ink (spring rain)
Patterned paper: American Crafts (dear lizzy), Basic Grey (nook & pantry), Studio Calico (English)
Stamps: Lawn Fawn (critters in the 'burbs), Papertrey Ink (bird watching)
Ink: Ranger Adirondack (espresso)
Rub On: American Crafts (dear lizzy)
Etc: Glossy Accents, Stickles

You're sew lovely, clean and simple :)

Hello everyone! Another mini card! I can't seem to help myself! I created a background with that awesome Hero Arts ledger cling stamp and then stamped Sew Lovely images over that. I love how you can "thread" the needle. You can do this with the spool, the swirly line, and it looks especially cool with the swirl at the end of the "you're sew lovely" sentiment.

I also wanted to remind you to sign up for our newsletter. We will let you know when we have new releases and other fun info!

I also started a formspring, so if you have any questions, ask away!

Card stock: Papertrey Ink (sweet blush)
Stamps: Lawn Fawn (sew lovely), Hero Arts (cling ledger)
Ink: Ranger Adirondack (espresso), Papertrey Ink (hibiscus burst), ColorBox (ruby)

You are my sunshine, Petite Florals!

Hello! How are you guys doing? Here, the sun is finally shining in SoCal, so that makes me happy! So here is a sunshiney card to celebrate that! This card uses American Craft's Dear Lizzy and Lawn Fawn's Petite Florals. I think they make quite a pair! :)

So I made this card and then saw that it went perfectly with this week's CPS challenge! Well, I guess I did the square version!
This is the first time that I used Flair! It was exciting! Of course, all I can think of is "Office Space". That movie cracks me up. I've almost beat up a printer because it said PC Load Letter too. hahaha! Okay, moving on. This card also uses a lot from the Studio Calico "Quilting Bee" kit. My goodness, do I love their kits!

I had such a blast stamping Petite Florals on Dear Lizzy paper. Here I stamped the flowers on the green patterned paper, then stamped them again on the other patterns, cut them out and adhered them over the stamped images. I rolled their petals inward some for depth and also adhered them down in different levels. One with a rolled up glue dot, one with a dimensional, and one with a foam adhesive from Making Memories that is crazy tall. Love those things! Also, how pretty are those Thickers? Ahhh. I could stare at them all day!

Lots of you are receiving your Lawn Fawn sets and making cards! I am so crazy excited about it! Make sure to send me the link to you blog, so I can see your lovely creations and also post it on facebook and twitter! Also, have you seen this feature on our site:

Make sure to check it out! To find it, click on the stamp set you own, for example, Petite Florals, then make sure to scroll down below the pictures. Submit a photo of your card and you may be featured on our site as an example of how to use the stamp set! I look forward to seeing your creations!
Card stock: Neenah Paper Environment (desert storm)
Patterned paper: American Crafts Dear Lizzy (giddy grasshopper, gloden gleam, friendly fern, picking pansies, flowering fields - from Studio Calico's Quilting Bee kit)
Ink: Ranger Adirondack (pitch black)
Stickers: American Crafts Flair (smiley), American Crafts Thickers (honey puffy: copper - Studio Calico's Wedding Ring kit)
Ribbon: American Crafts - from Studio Calico's Quilting Bee kit

Everything but the Kitchen Sink Challenge #11 and Torendi fun!

Hello! I hope you all had wonderful weekends! I am here with another Everything but the Kitchen Sink sketch challenge! This week our inspiration comes from Kelley, our host! How gorgeous is this?
And here is her fab sketch:This sketch is so versatile and fun! I love it!So I went wacky and made a busy card. This has been happening lately, but I had such a blast making this card, even if it is out of my norm! I am celebrating Mod Podge and Torendi with this card. The deer in the center is Shinzi Katoh fabric from Torendi that I used matte Mod Podge on to attach to card stock and to stiffen, and then I ran it through my Cuttlebug. I then smeared some sparkle Mod Podge on it to match the Sassafras letters. I love that sparkle Mod Podge! The buttons are chipboard that I covered with Mod Podge, layed down paper, and then added another layer of Mod Podge. It worked perfectly and gave a really cool look when sanded. How fun are these letters? I love the juxtaposition of the sparkly Sassafras Nerdy Bird letters with the woodgrain Cosmo Cricket ones. I also put down some FabRips Studio Calico fabric and used my tiny attacher to hold down my ribbon! Seriously love that thing!

This week at EbtKS, I am hosting the prize! We have "Petite Florals" up for grabs!
