Everything but the Kitchen Sink Challenge #14

*Make sure to take a look at the Lawn Fawn sneak peek post and leave a comment for a chance to win!*

Welcome to another Everything but the Kitchen Sink challenge! This time the challenge is to use envelopes:
And the prize is this fabulous Ippity set from Ashley N. Newell!
I used the flaps of envelopes as my hills. I distress them with Distress Ink to look more "hilly". Then I used the envelope paper to mask the subtle clouds. Envelope paper is great for this because it is thin. I really liked using it!

Make sure to go on over to the EbtKS blog, check out the design team's cards and enter your card in Mr. Linky for a chance to win that beautiful set!
Card stock: Papertrey Ink (spring rain)
Patterned paper:
Basic Grey (urban prairie)
Stamps: Lawn Fawn (petite florals), Hero Arts (bicycle, friends)
Ink: Memento (tuxedo black), Papertrey Ink (true black), Distress Ink (tumbled glass, broken china, antique linen, vintage photo)
Etc: Copic markers, Envelopes
Thank you so much for visiting!

Lawn Fawn Sneak Peek: "Just My Type"

Welcome to the first sneak peek of the Lawn Fawn May release! We are releasing 3 stamp sets this time! The first stamp set we are sneaking here is "Just My Type". Let's get to the amazing design team samples! Remember to click on their names to go to their fabulous blogs and get all the details on their cards!

Mariana has made the most wonderful card with Just My Type. Her colors are amazing! She used the telephone image from the set in such a fun way. I just love those hearts!

Tiffany's card is just SO cool! I love that acetate! I also love the way she distressed the paper coming out of the typewriter! Hot pink, black and kraft is such a fun color combo.

Ashley has made such an awesome card! I love her use of tapes and staples! It goes so well with our office theme. As you can see, there is another sentiment in the typewriter. That's because all of our sentiments can fit within the typewriter's paper!

Sarah Martina has wowed me with her ultimate in prettiness! Pretty in pink! :) She used the telephone and shabbied it up. She also stamped our "hello" sentiment on the ribbon wrapping around the edges of the card. I can't wait to try that!

Lynnette's card is so much fun! Her envelope is so cool. It reminds me of an office memo envelope. She decorated it with our tack and paperclip stamps. I love that you could create your own patterned paper with those smaller stamps!

Oh how I love the cool colors on Jessica's card! The top border she created with the paperclip stamp is so cool, especially paired with the actual paper clip! You can also see another one of our sentiments in the typewriter's paper. How fun is the way she popped up the paper?!

Latisha's card is so pretty and full of texture! I love the unique shape of her card and all of the fabulous dry embossing! Her coloring is so wonderful and the pairing of that polka-dotted ribbon and the three buttons in the corner adds the perfect amount of whimsy!

Make sure you click on each of the design team's names or pictures to go to their blogs and see the details of how they made their cards. You will walk away inspired for sure!

I hope you have enjoyed this sneak peek of "Just My Type". I can't wait to show you the full set on the 5th! Until then, I think I need to give one of these away! Leave me a comment telling me if you have ever used a typewriter by May 2nd at 11:59pm PDT, and we will randomly pick one winner!

This weekend I will have at least one video showing you some of the sets and then we will start up with the sneaks again on Monday May 3rd at 12:01am EDT. I can't wait!

Thank You and a Lawn Fawn hint! :)

Helloooo! I have a fun Lawn Fawn hint at the bottom of this post, so make sure to make it through all of my rambling. Hehe! I am playing along with 2 Sketches 4 You and Etsy Inspired.

I had the Etsy Inspired colors in mine, but it looks like I used different shades! The Bee Things store and it's "gift wrapping" offer did inspire me though! I also flipped the 2S4Y sketch.

I used the Studio Calico add on kit Tilt-A-Whirl to make this card. It is such a gorgeous kit! How fun are those Basic Grey chipboard letters? I just love that Crate Paper chipboard too. Way to go on this gorgeous line, Crate Paper!
I am loving these flower centers from Prima. So gorgeous! I stapled the ribbon in place with my Tiny Attacher, coolest tool ever!

Okay, on to my super fun Lawn Fawn release hint! Remember that we start design team sneak peeks on Friday, but for now here is one of the best movie scenes of all time to give you a hint as to the theme of one of our new sets!

Got any ideas yet? ;) My favorite line from this song: "Come on with the rain, I've a smile on my face!" I hope this video put a smile on your face today! :)

You're radish! :)

Hello! So I had a blast combining Moxie Fab's sketch challenge and Torendi's Fresh Mix kit again! I just can't help but make feltie veggies talk!

Here is the Moxie Fabulous sketch:

I made a card base directly from the Cosmo Cricket patterned paper in the kit. I love that their paper is sturdy enough to hold up a card! The corn feltie is from the Fresh Mix kit and the bubble is BamPop. The rub on is American Crafts and from my stash. I just couldn't help but use it! Hehe! :)

Have a great night! I hope it's radish!

PTI Blog Hop!! (my first one!)

This is my first Papertrey Ink blog hop! So fun! The challenge was to use tissue paper and Papertrey Ink products. I used Background Basics: Text Style for the background and Fresh Alphabet for the "...... YOU".

For the tissue paper, I decided to make it look like that shabby, gauzy ribbon people have been using lately. I don't have any, so I thought this was a great time to try and make it! I died the white tissue paper with worn lipstick distress ink and my foam applicator. Then I scrunched it all up and distressed it some more by added some more ink. I put down some sticky strip tape and scrunched the tissue paper along it. It held perfectly!
I had a blast creating the background with Text Style and distress inks. I covered chipboard with patterned paper and strung it along with twine. I will add the supplies later, so that I am not late! :)
Card stock: Neenah Paper Environment (desert storm)
Patterned paper:
Sassafras (my type), Crate Paper (ripple) - Studio Calico's Joyland kit
Stamps: Papertrey Ink (background basics: text style, fresh alphabet)
Ink: Ranger Distress Ink (antique linen, worn lipstick), Versamagic (turquoise)
Chipboard: Maya Road (mini chipboard banner) - Studio Calico's Joyland kit, American Crafts LetterBox chipboard frame - Studio Calico Petit Fours Kit
Twine: Martha Stewart
Doily: Sweet Vintage esty store - Studio Calico Petit Fours Kit
Etc: Prime (dynasty flower center citrine) - Studio Calico's Tilt a Whirl kit, tissue paper

monochromatic merci

Hello! I saw the Caardvarks monochromatic challenge today, and I decided to give it a go! That challenge is really making me want some Core'dinations card stock. I have never tried it!! Craziness! I must get my hands on some! Edited to add: I just realized I made ANOTHER one layer card! haha! :)
I also decided to bust out one of my new PTI goodies. I absolutely love this impression plate, but the sandwich for the Cuttlebug that they list EXPLODED my B plate. Watch out with that one! At least I managed not to injure myself this time! Haha!
Isn't that impression just gorgeous? It's subtle, but so pretty! It would be great to make these in a bunch of colors and give them as a box set. Oh, and that little merci stamp? That is a little gift I give out with each Lawn Fawn purchase. There are 5 different thank you stamps and we keep track of which one you were already sent. So, next time you should get a new one! :) Yay!

Okay, I am going to go watch 500 Days of Summer with my hubby and tomorrow go check out Stamp Fever, a stamp shop in Orange, CA. I am so excited!
Card stock: American Crafts
Stamps: Lawn Fawn (merci)
Ink: Ranger Distress Ink (mustard seed)

Torendi Earth Day Planters

Welcome to the Torendi blog hop! Hopefully you came here from Jenn's blog. If not, you can start the hop at the Torendi blog. Remember to comment on all of the blogs for a chance to win some goodies! Read about the details here.

So I decided to get all earthy and make planters out of the bottom of water bottles. I wanted to actually plant some flowers before this post, but as you can see in this picture, I had seeds, but no soil! I'll just have to do a post Earth Day planting :).
Rub ons are perfect for making these little planters! I especially love the EAD ones. The red ones are from the Love Fool kit, and the orange is another EAD set. They are vinyl and just look so nice! Check them out at Torendi!
OPP Tape is so fun for these! I just applied it to the bottle. Then I knew I wanted to make flowers out of this fabric I received in a package. Yay for recycling! I made them by rolling and knotting strips of the fabric and stapling it together. Then I glue dotted them to the bottle.
Another OPP Tape one. This time I used sticky strip around the top to adhere that fun houndstooth American Crafts ribbon around the top.

I hope you have been having from hopping around for Earth Day. Next stop: the mega-fabulous Tiff! Click here to see what she has created! And don't forget to comment on each blog to win some Earth Day goodies!
Tape: OPP (fuss, happy friends)
Ribbon: American Crafts (haute: elle)
Rub-Ons: EAD (love hurts)
Fabric: found in a gift
Plastic bottles: My cupboard. I drank a lot of water today to do this post! :)

one layer, two critters

Another one layer card! I am telling you, I just love this challenge! I really like stamping just the outlines of the critters from Critters in the 'Burbs and then just adding a bit of color: like the cat's nose, or the dog's collar. I think it's fun! I am also really loving these tiny type stickers from Cosmo Cricket. They are just so cool.

Okay, I am writing this early so I can head off to watch LOST, American Idol and Glee. Here are my pre-watching notes: LOST - you only have a few episodes left, hop to it! AI - Crystal and Lee you are my favorites, I hope you make me happy again tonight! Glee - Madonna. Awesome. Can't wait. :)
Card stock: Neenah Paper Environment (desert storm)
Ink: Ranger Adirondack (slate), Ranger Distress Ink (vintage photo)

one layer lovely

Hello! Okay, so I am obsessed with the K. Werner one layer challenge. It's so fun! I decided to see what it would be like to combine it with a sketch and 2 Sketches 4 You has the coolest sketch this week! Check it out!
I had so much fun using Sew Lovely! Can you believe it is somehow the first time I use that bow?! How is that possible?! It is super cute! It would be adorable in the hair one of those little girl stamps from Hero Arts. I created the borders with the stamps in Sew Lovely. I love that you could keep stamping the swirl or flowers over and over!
Okay, I better get to bed. I have stayed up way too late making this card and another one layer card, too. It's been a weird day, and I will be happy to start fresh tomorrow! Hugs to you all!
