Lawn Fawn Sneak Peek: "Harold's ABCs"

Welcome to day 2 of the Lawn Fawn June release! Have you left a comment on our 1st day's post? May sure you do for a chance to win! I am just so excited about this next sneak peek of our new set, "Harold's ABCs". It is a fun and quirky alphabet set that was created to make it easy to line up your letters. Make sure you make it all the way to the bottom for a preview video!

Let's check out this crazy talented design team in action:
Ashley has made the cutest card and treat set to go with her invite from yesterday! I love the way she personalized the gold fish treat container, and the alpha background on the thanks card is too cool!

Sarah's card is just pure summer fun! I love it so much! This is a perfect way to show how you can personalize journaling cards from other collections with Harold's ABCs. It is such a perfect fit!

Tiffany made such a sweet card for a little girl! Her crown is amazing! She decorated it with Petite Florals and then personalize the crown and inside with Harold's ABCs. This card shows how well Harold's ABCs can work for a girly card too!

Lynnette combined so many sets into one in this card! I love it! It is just so happy! Partly Cloudy and Critters in the Sea set the scene for a punny sentiment spelled out with Harold's ABCs. I love that you can fit your sentiment into a circle if need be with an alphabet set!

Mariana's card is purrrfect! I love the way she curved the alpha around the circle. Sometimes you just need a custom sentiment and Harold's ABCs is perfect for that! Actually, I think I meant purrfect ;) hehe!
Latisha made this awesome party favor! How cool would it be to customize these for each child at your son or daughter's birthday party. This could even be translated into Christmas treats with the family's name on it! I love the way she used Critters in the Sea to make this candy wrapper, too. So fun!

Jessica's card is so pretty. Her Petite Florals background is gorgeous and how beautiful is that lacy border on the banner? Her card shows that Harold can have a more serious side, too.

Make sure you click on each of the design team's names or pictures to go to their blogs and see the details of how they made their cards. You will walk away inspired for sure!

I also made a little preview video of "Harold's ABCs". You can watch it here or at You Tube.

I hope you have enjoyed this sneak peek of "Harold's ABCs". I can't wait to show you the full set on the 3rd! Now it's time to give one of these away! Leave me a comment telling me what your favorite letter is by June 2nd at 11:59pm PDT, and we will randomly pick one winner!

Make sure to head back tomorrow, Wednesday June 2nd, at 12:01am EDT for our last sneak peek!

Lawn Fawn Sneak Peek: "Critters in the Sea"

Hello and welcome to the first sneak peek of Lawn Fawn's June release! I can't tell you how excited I am about this release! We have three stamps sets and they will be for sale on June 3rd at 12:01 am EDT and until then we will have sneak peeks and giveaways and lots of fun and happy!
Our first set is a "sequel" to a Lawn Fawn favorite named "Critters in the Sea". Now your 'Burbs critters can have some ocean loving buddies! This set is fun and perfect for boy cards, and, well, any kind of card! :)
I can't wait to show you the design team samples. I know I always say this, but they have blown me away again! I get giddy when another card pops up in my inbox because they are just so awesome! So let's get to it! Remember to click on the person's name or card to see all of the details and leave these wonderful chicas some comment love! :)
Tiff has totally rocked it with this card! She used the cutie pie crab from the set and our wave stamp to create this amazing and fun scene! I LOVE how she tore the paper. That is just so cool!

Jessica's card is just the cutest! Her cool color scheme is perfect! I love the dimension she added to the fish from the set and that twine is the perfect nautical touch!

Mariana has used one of my favorite sea critters, the dolphin! How brilliant is the hoop that the dolphin is jumping through? It is nautical and fun and just wonderful! She also used one of our "punny" sentiments from the set!

Lynnette's card has a pink whale on it! Ooooh! I love pink whales! :) She created a fun scene using the seaweed and shells from the set. This card is so fun and bright. Lynnette has shown us that sea critters can have crazy colors and be super fun!

Ashley has flawlessly combined "Just My Type, Too" and "Critters in the Sea"! This invite is the cutest! She created the coolest background with the bubbles from the set. That would actually make a really cool background on a non-critter card too!
Latisha's card is so cute! Her blue whale is awesome. I love her shading! She took the sentiment from the set and curved it to get that cool look. I love that about clear stamps! Also, the whale's water spout is separate so you can add it or not or use it in a different color. SO fun!

Sarah made an amazing 4 card set! I absolutely love the paper pieced critters! I think these sea critters are perfect for paper piecing! The acetate is genius! I love the way Sarah used the waves! If you look behind the dolphin card you can see some sneaks at other critters that are in this set!

Make sure you click on each of the design team's names or pictures to go to their blogs and see the details of how they made their cards. You will walk away inspired for sure!

I hope you have enjoyed this sneak peek of "Critters in the Sea". I can't wait to show you the full set on the 3rd! But for right now, we need to give one of these away! These critters want a happy home! Leave me a comment telling me what your favorite sea critter is by June 1st at 11:59pm PDT, and we will randomly pick one winner!

Make sure to head back tomorrow, Tuesday June 1st, at 12:01am EDT for our second sneak peek!

Everything but the Kitchen Sink Challenge #16

Hello and welcome to the next Everything but the Kitchen Sink Challenge! It is my turn to host, and it is my favorite kind of challenge: the around the house challenge!
This time I chose:
Nail polish! It is so fun! So get out those crazy colors you bought but never wear, that glitter nail polish from the '90s you still have (guilty as charged), and that top coat you never have the time to apply and get crafty! We cannot wait to see what you do!
Our prize this week is a $30 gift certificate from the oh-so-fabulus Denami Design!

I decided to apply nail polish to some Maya Road chipboard. It was so fun that I am definitely going to do it again! The top coat over the nail polish is definitely a cool look, and my nineties era glitter polish is the right amount of shimmer on the swirly piece!
I had a lot of fun putting this card together, and I hope you guys have a lot of fun with your nail polish too! Head on over to the Everything but the Kitchen Sink blog and enter your card into Mr. Linky. You have until June 9 at midnight CST.

Also, don't forget that tomorrow is the first sneak peek of the Lawn Fawn June release! The DT is WOWing me again, so make sure to check in and have a change to win some stamps too! :)
Card stock: American Crafts
Patterned paper:
Crate Paper (very berry), 7gypsies (ecriture)
Etc: Maya road chipboard, Basic Grey chip sticker alphabet, Prima calcutta leaves oatmeal and dynasty flower center, My Mind's Eye Lush gems, NAIL POLISH!

Happy Birthday, Dad!

Hello everyone! Yesterday was my Dad's birthday, and this is the card I made him! He is a huge University of Miami fan, so I used orange and green in a subtle way. The Joyland Studio Calico kit is perfect for guy cards!
These Cosmo Cricket chipboard letters are so awesome! I also figured out a trick with the Pink Paislee tape: when it is too shear over patterned paper, just layer over another piece of tape. Okay, I realize this is not brilliant or anything, but I was pretty excited when the light bulb flickered a little over my head. Hehe! :)

Make sure to check in tomorrow for the latest Everything but the Kitchen Sink challenge. I am the host this time, and I am so excited!

Also, don't forget that the Lawn Fawn sneak peeks start Monday May 31st at 12:01 am EDT! WOOO! I can't wait!
Card stock: Bazzil (yam)
Patterned paper:
7gypsies (annonce), My Mind's Eye (little man zig zag)
Etc: Cosmo Cricket (extra extra alphabet), Pink Paislee (teal artisan tape)
*All products came from Studio Calico's April 2010 Joyland kit

Embellish Blog Hop!

Hello! Join me today along with Embellish Magazine for a blog hop filled with creativity, tips, inspiration, and prizes.

Hopefully you have just come from Mariana Grigsby's blog. If not make sure to start at the beginning with the Embellish blog.

Don't forget to leave comments on every blog. Embellish is offering four prizes for 10 lucky winners. The winners will be randomly selected from each of the blog hop participant blogs. A comment left on each of the blog hop participant's web site will give you an entry to win one of the prizes, which include Lawn Fawn stamps, May Arts twine, Subscription to Embellish Magazine, and A New Design crinkly stained ribbon.

Those are some rockin' prizes! So hop hop hop along! I highly suggest you check out Embellish's premiere issue too!

The contest will be open until Monday, 5/31 at 5pm EST. Winners will be announced Tuesday, June 1!

I heart bloomers. They are amazing. My favorite thing is to cut them up into individual rosettes and group them together like this. It's glue dot central under those flowers!
I had so much fun with sticky back canvas! I painted it turquoise, stamped these awesome Studio Calico stamps on it in brown and then "splattered" it with perfect pearls. I then threaded the top and bottom with twine, although those bloomers took over the bottom twine stitching! Haha! The card base has been stamped with a Hero Arts stamp in Versamark and dusted with perfect pearls too. I wanted this to feel like a fancy old carnival advert or something. Haha! That probably only makes sense in my head, but I had fun making this card! Thanks so much Embellish for letting us take on your awesome challenge again! :)

Now make sure to hop along to Michelle Woerner's blog for more turquoise, red, brown, kraft and twine fun!

Sunny Thank You

Hello and happy Wednesday! I got out an older Studio Calico kit for this one. It was so fun! I stamped this doily border stamp up and down the card base in Versamark for a subtle background.

These awesome Cosmo Cricket letters worked so well with the wood veneer sun from Studio Calico. I actually used my Tattered Angels mist for once. I did it in the sink so I wouldn't glitterfy my whole desk (surprise, glitterfy was not flagged by my spell check. Madness!) I really like the juxtaposition of wood grain and sparkle! Add some Dear Lizzy American Crafts paper, and this card just screams "Smile! Like right now. Even if you don't want to. I am working so hard. Please smile!" Yes, this card has a bit of a complex about how bright it is. So just smile, and the card and I will stop talking. Hehehe!

Okay, enough with the wacky! Have an amazing day!
