Today is our first showcase of "Say Cheese" and "Say Cheese, Too". These 4" x 6" sets are too much fun and perfect for cards, layouts, mini books, photo cards and anything you can think of! The design team has made the most amazing samples! I also have a little video on the bottom showcasing some fun ways of using these sets!
Remember to click on the person's name or card to see all of the details and leave these wonderful DT girls some comment love! :)
Our amazing guest designer, Nichol, has come up with THE cutest card! It is just too sweet! She made a sweet scene with Critters in the Forest in the Say Cheese polaroid. I love how she doubled up the polaroid and crinkled up the edges like the are in a stack. The twine around it is brilliant, too! She also created a beautiful background with Teeny Tiny Backdrops, and her hearts in the polaroid are from Plus One! I love how many sets she put together to create this awesome card!
Tiffany's two page layout is brilliant! I absolutely adore the Say Cheese polaroids hanging from the twine and clothespins! The photos of her kids are just too cute, and she has perfectly captured their daily walk to school. Won't this be wonderful for them to look back on?! Tiff used her own handwriting to journal in the polaroids which looks awesome. She also used the camera from the set as a fun embellishment. That sun is also just too cool!
Lea's card makes me endlessly happy. The rainbow action is just too cool! I love the strips of card stock behind the Say Cheese camera. Too fun! The little bits of color and glitter she added to the camera is just perfect. She used the star and "You're a star!!" sentiment from Say Cheese, Too which totally works with the retro look of this card. I think this would make anyone's day!
Teri's layout is uber cool! I love the polaroids being held up by washi tape! Such a good idea! She used sentiments, months and numbers from our Say Cheese, Too set to help in journaling on her layout which looks awesome! She also used the smiley face from Say Cheese in the polaroid "writing area". It is perfect for images, too! Teri also used Jessie's ABCs for part of her layout title. I love that!
Julie's card is vintage-sweet perfection! I just adore how she put that image in the polaroid. This is such a great idea and a great way to show off journaling cards or patterned papers that you love! The doily and ink distressing add to the vintage look, and Sophie's Sentiments is perfect for a sentiment on the polaroid! This just makes me smile!
Lynnette's card is so fun and bright! Her die cut is just perfect! It looks like a flash burst! Brilliant! I love the way she highlighted the sentiment from Say Cheese, Too with the flagged shape and button. It is so fun to color this camera to match your papers or even to paper piece this camera, too! I love the way Nette added a gem to it, too! This is a great card layout! Definitely one to try! :)
Chan has made an adorable mini album! This camera is just the perfect image for a front cover! Wouldn't this be perfect for polaroid photos?! I love the white Teeny Tiny Backdrops hearts on the raw chipboard. It looks fantastic! The camera coloring is so fun. You can really color it to match your book's "personality". Chan also used our "flash rays" from Say Cheese which added some extra movement to the mini album, and the say cheese sentiment is just perfect!
Latisha's layout is so beautiful. I adore how she took these stamps and made them just beautiful with the papers and photo she used. She used Say Cheese, Too to put her date, polaroid sentiment, and even the small camera in the bottom left hand corner. It is such a great little element! The banners on top are from Bannerific and perfectly balance out the white space. I love the idea of handwritten journaling covering so much of a layout, too. This is just wonderful!
Mariana's card is so much fun! I adore these colors! She made the most fun patterned papers with the smiley face from Say Cheese. Also, the Camera looks awesome stamped and cut out of a solid color card stock piece! That little pearl is a great accent, too! I love her word bubble and how she stamped the two words of say cheese on top of each other. It looks so great! Such a happy card!
Make sure you click on each of the design team's names or pictures to go to their blogs and see the details of how they made their cards. You will walk away inspired for sure!
Now, I have a little video for you showing this set in action and some fun things you can do with it. I hope you enjoy it! Watch it below or at You Tube.

Oh, I so LOVE that polaroid stamp!!! Okay, so as for my favorite photo... do I really have to choose only one? I have many favorites, so just to name one is difficult. I guess one of the pictures I have in the collage on my computerscreen, which is of my nephew smiling big while bathing in a small playing-kind-of-pool in our yard, is a definite favorite of mine. In fact, the whole collage of the photos from that day in the pool, are all favorites =)

What fantastic sets. I love them (which isn't surprising since I love EVERY SINGLE SET you release). My favorite photo is of me and my niece. On the surface, it's a sweet pic of me hugging my 2 year old niece (who is now 13). But, when you know the story behind it you laugh until your sides hurt and realize the grins we share are not so sweet and innocent.

Great artwork!! Everything is fantastic!! I sadly must admit that I am not taking any pics lately except pics of my creation to post to my blog.

ReplyDeleteSo hard to pick just one favorite photo - but one that comes to mind is of my dear hubby and daughter walking side by side. I shot the photo from the back and she was so young then - and he is really tall, so the height difference between the two always makes me smile and sometimes makes me teary.
Thanks for the chance to win!
I am so new to cardmaking I haven't even started buying stamps yet, and have one inkpad so far! I bought a Silhouette for vinyl wall art and tshirts and then realized how awesome it is for diecuts for cardmaking, so a new obsession has started, I am fairly certain I will be buying some lawn fawn stamps in the next few weeks, love this polaroid stamp set!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite photo is one my husband took with me my mom and my newborn first daughter...we are all tired but you can see the generations all together, and how our eyes are all the same...
Here's hoping I can win and get the stamp collection/obsession started!

ReplyDeleteMy fave pic is the one where my lil guy wasn't feeling to good, climbed up on his napping Daddy's head, got snuggly and fell asleep on top of his head! They both napped that way for over an hour! I have no idea how hubs breathed at all, LOL!
Thanks for the chance!
hugs, margie

ReplyDeleteI've loved all the sets you've released but i'm absolutely over the moon for the say cheese one. My brain is working overtime thinking of the endless possabilities! I have so many favorite pictures. My absolute is one of my husband and two boys walking down the road at dusk when we were camping a few years back. It was a really nice moment that i managed to capture :)
ReplyDeleteI love this!!! My favorite photo is actually a sonogram of my little boy. I can see his little features and I couldn't believe he was really coming. 38 hours of labor later, I was a believer, LOL!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite photo is a random one I took in the backyard to use up a roll of film. (Remember the old days???) My daughter was walking through the yard holding her "bebe" and looking with such love at her shoes! <3
ReplyDeletemy favorite photo is of my son!
ReplyDeletethe say cheese is my favorite stamp set!
One favorite??? Wow, that's a tough one...hmmm...well, the one picture on my craft desk is of my 2 kids, hanging out on the couch with their arms around each other. They were being silly and you can see it in their faces, but they really are each others best friend and I love that!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite photos are all about my daughter when she was small as she looks so adorable and cute! Did you know that 'Say Cheese' is also great for travel related stuffs? I have some ideas in my head and crossing my fingers to win so that I can make the project and show it to you!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite pic is pic of me hugging my little brother when we were kids and we had this huge grin on our face, that literally it was so big, that you couldn't see our eyes. :)

ReplyDeleteThose DT samples are crazy cute!!! I love them all. Hmm... it's hard for me to pick just one favorite photo. But I think I would have to say it's the one of my bf and I when we went to China and sat on the Great Wall. My favourite photo of all time is of my youngest niece at her day care climbing a frame. She was always climbing and running from the moment she could roll over. Sadly she passed away only a week after the photo was taken - but its a treasured memory of a the character and spunk of this little angel. xx
ReplyDeleteMy favorite picture was taken June 2009 at my college graduation. There are a couple reasons why. First, it is my graduation. Something I have worked long and hard to achieve (and I graduated Cum Laude). The second is that my parents and I rarely take a group picture. And since I started scrapbooking, that has changed. It is our first group shot in many years.

The layouts for today are AMAZING, and the cards are fantastic too! My favorite photo is one that I have from last fall of my two goofy little boys making funny faces.
ReplyDeleteI would love to say that I have a picture of my entire family that is my favorite. Some of the best family photos are taken on a whim and I don't think I am always looking my best. We have two photo's of our four kids taken five years apart from each other, of them posing on the same rock. I love/hate seeing the comparison. The new set is fabulous!! Have a great day!
