CHA set up day one video!

Tiff took some awesome video yesterday and I thought I would post it here! You can see us putting up the booth! At one point you can see us putting up a house. We decided to take it down because, one, it looked good when we made it but did not travel well :( and, two, we found out we don't have to have a wall there! Yay for open spaces! I can't wait to go back today and do some finishing touches, including putting up a life sized Critters in the 'Burbs tree!!

Check out the video! Tiff and I are off to finalize our make and takes!

Big fawny hugs!

CHA set up day one

Oh my goodness! Today was so tiring but so fun! We had a lot of fun setting up the booth. We had to cut some ideas that didn't work and keep lots of ideas that did! We did some more shopping tonight and we are ready to put those finishing touches on the booth tomorrow!

One of the really fun things we get to do tomorrow is place some Critters and characters around the Lawn Fawn lawn!
Make sure to come by booth #4816 to say hi and take a photo with your favorite Critter!

I also have to thank hubby Mike, bestie Tiffany, bestie Matt and bro in law Gary for all of their help today. I have amazing friends and family!

Here's one last little look (all photos from Tiff!) before my head hits the pillow!

Tiff has taken some video and more photos. We will start putting them together soon after a good night's rest!

Big big hugs to you all!

Life sized Critters in the 'Burbs!

Hello! Now starts the random iPhone photos! I have two I just have to show you, but first I have a few links:

Phew!!! That's a lot of links!

Okay, on to some pics! We have created some life sized Lawn Fawn stamps for our booth! I had Putter pose with the Critters in the 'Burbs dog one! Putter isn't happy about it! He's not a fan of cuteness competition! Haha!
I am seriously in love with this cut outs. I was hugging the one we have of the squirrel. It is so cool to see them come to life!

Here's a picture of my hubby collapsed on our felt house backdrop after we finally finished at 5am. The canvas above is the other side of the booth and full of hand stitched hills and mountains!
We are crazy here getting everything ready. We're almost there! Tomorrow we start move in!

This is such a sweet combo of Critters in the 'Burbs and Partly Cloudy. The layout is just genius. I love how it is off to the side. This card is just so sweet and would be so encouraging to send to a good friend. This is such an inspiration to see how to combine different Lawn Fawn sets!

1. When did you first start crafting?
I started doing my first crafting experiments when I was very young. I always wanted to be doing what my mom was doing, sewing, knitting, embroidering, painting… I found out that all those were really fun for me. Along my life, I have always incorporated creativity to whatever I am doing. In 2006 I started to make scrapbooking pages, and I also started to make my own cards… So, after that I have been enjoying stamping and creating cards.

2. What is your favorite type of card to make?
My favorite type of card to make is Christmas!!!

3. What is your favorite and/or go-to color combo?

I like all colors and I love combining them :) One of my favorites color combos is Kraft, turquoise and white.

4. What technique have you been loving lately?
Coloring stamped images using Copic Markers is my favorite technique lately.

5. What is your New Year's resolution?

To organize my time more effectively. Lately, I have been struggling organizing my daily chores (because I get easily distracted) and because of that,  I have shortened my crafty time :(

6. What is your favorite movie or book?

I have many favorite movies, one of them is "Something's Gotta Give" ;)

8. What is your favorite food?
Of course I love Mexican food, specially Tacos al Pastor and Tacos de Cochinita

9. Where were you born?
I was born in Mexico. Being more specific I was born in the south east of Mexico, in the State of Veracruz.

I would love to visit Paris someday with my hubby. I think it is a romantic city full of interesting places to see.

11. What did you want to be when you were little?
I don't really remember. I just remember that I played a lot with my friends, pretending to be a doctor, the owner of the store, the mom, even the tax collector…lol.

12. If you won the lottery, what would you do?

Well, I think that the first thing I would do is to buy a bigger house for my family, where I can have a huge room for my crafty stuff. I also will love to travel around the world with my hubby and sons.

13. What is your favorite quote?

Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter. ~Mark Twain

Lovely Lynnette's card!

It's time to get even more inspired by Lynnette! Check out this amazing card! It is Lynnette's favorite Lawn Fawn card that she has made, and I can see why! :)

Lynnette combined four different Lawn Fawn sets to make this card: Petite Florals, Critters in the 'Burbs, Partly Cloudy, and How Delightful! How amazing is that? I love how seamlessly she put together all of these sets for this lovely springy card! Talk about inspiration!

Lovely Lynnette

Hello! Today we have the wonderful Lynnette's survey! I hope you are enjoying getting to know these amazing women on the Lawn Fawn Design Team! Now take it away, Nette!

1.     When did you first start crafting?

Honestly, I cannot remember when I didn’t enjoy crafting.  As a kid, I always was drawing, coloring, painting, you name it.  As an adult, I used to do all sorts of crafts which included basket making, jewelry making, cross-stitch, card-making and other things.  A couple of years ago, I finally decided I needed to focus on just a couple of crafts. I decided to primarily focus on beading and paper-crafting (although I will still make an occasional basket and do have a desire to learn crocheting).

2.     What is your favorite type of card to make?
Wow, this is a tough question. I tend to be all over the place, and the type of cards I like to make depends on the current phase I’m in.  I do tend to bright colors and cute.  I love patterned papers, ribbon and coloring (takes me back to my childhood).

3.     What is your favorite and/or go-to color combo?
Currently, my favorite color combination is bright pink, aqua and green (think celery).  However, this is also subject to change depending on my mood.

4.     What technique have you been loving lately?
I love coloring with Copic markers. I have a long way to go with learning how to use these markers and am thoroughly enjoying the process.

5.     What is your New Year's resolution?
Do I have to limit it to one resolution?  My main focus of 2011 will be to continue to grow in my walk with Christ. I want to be more diligent in my bible study, prayer, and scripture memorization. This is the most important resolution I have for 2011.

Of course, like many, I want to lose weight in 2011.

6.     What is your favorite movie or book?
My favorite movie:        Ben Hur (I love the classics… also a big fan of old Hitchcock movies).
My favorite book:         The Bible

7.     What is your favorite food?
Nachos… yum (hard to achieve the weight loss resolution if too many of these are consumed).

8.     Where were you born?
I was born in Franklin, Indiana. (Small town about 20 miles south of Indianapolis)

9.     Where is a place you would love to visit?
I would really love to take a trip to Alaska.

10.  What did you want to be when you were little?
I always wanted to be a veterinarian, but then I realized I’d have to put animals to sleep. I knew I’d struggle with that.

11.  If you won the lottery, what would you do?
Since I never play the lottery, this would be something. If I were to win a large sum of money, I’d give some away, pay off debts, put money in my nephew’s college fund, bank some for future, and maybe take that trip to Alaska. (Am I terribly boring or what?)

12.  What is your favorite quote?
My favorite quote comes from the Gospel of Matthew:
You are the light of the world…Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven. (Matthew 5:14, 16)

Lovely Lea's cards!

It's time to get even more inspired by Lea! Check out these gorgeous wowza cards!
I renamed "Clean and Simple (CAS)" to "Clean and Striking" a while back and this is the reason why! This card is not simple it is striking! Lea shows how how twine and a few pearls and some images from Sew Lovely can make an amazing card!

I just adore this Just My Type and Just My Type, Too card. It is the perfect Valentine! The offset scallops are just WOW! The little pearls are the keys really make this card super feminine and sweet!

I love that Lea made the inside of the card. This is such a good way to use the sentiments in Just My Type and Just My Type, Too. It really dresses up a card to stamp on the inside! Just lovely!

Lovely Lea

Hello! Today we have the wonderful Lea's survey! I hope you are enjoying getting to know these amazing women on the Lawn Fawn Design Team! Now take it away, Lea!

1. When did you first start crafting?
My Aunt Amy gave me a scrapbooking kit for my high school graduation, and that summer I scrapbooked everything I did.  That was my formal introduction!

2. What is your favorite type of card to make?
I am an equal opportunity card maker...I love making them for every occasion. Even Sympathy cards...everyone deserves something beautiful when they are sad.

3. What is your favorite and/or go-to color combo?
Hmmm...this is a question I don't take lightly.  I LOVE color.  LOVE it. There isn't a color that I don't really love in some way, so I can't give you a color combo.  BUT, I can give you a genre.  I have multiple cards in the latest Color Inspiration issue from Paper Crafts, and they are all in the "Bright & Bold" or "Jewel Tone" sections.

4. What technique have you been loving lately?
I am not really a technique inspired card maker, but I do love to glitter. That is about as technique-y as I get! :)

5. What is your New Year's resolution?
I don't have one.  But, I would like to be healthier in 2011.

6. What is your favorite movie or book?
Romeo + Juliet.  Both the play and the movie (the newer one).

8. What is your favorite food?
Authentic Mexican food.

9. Where were you born?
Missoula, MT

10. Where is a place you would love to visit?
I recently went to Kenya, Africa...and that was one on my list.  I would also LOVE to visit Australia...hopefully one day!

11. What did you want to be when you were little?
Ugh- a professional cheerleader.  And then I grew up and realized that they aren't real cheerleaders.

12. If you won the lottery, what would you do?
Give a lot of it away to Christian organizations that mean a lot to me.  Pay off my brother's college education.  Buy my parent's a house of their dreams, and pay off my inlaw's dream home.  Build our own dream home.  And invest it wisely so we could live off the interest, and travel around the world doing mission work, photographing, and just enjoying life completely.

13. What is your favorite quote?
"Happy are those who dream dreams and are ready to pay the price to make them come true." ~Joseph Cardinal Suenens
