Hello! I hope you guys are having a great day! Today I have a fun card based on the most recent
Lawnscaping challenge! It's a sketch by
Chari and it rocks! I used the
6x6 petite paper pack grey chevron paper as my base and then added a washi tape covered banner shape that I cut out. (
More about the washi tapes at the bottom!) I then used some more 6x6 papers for the strip along the bottom and then stamped my sentiment from
Lunar Lights. The banner shape is wrapped with our
Lawn Trimmings cord. I just love that grey and the way bows look so cute with the hemp cord. The bows really hold their shape! I added a clear heart shaped gem colored with an aqua Copic and the card was done!
At CHA, the wonderful folks at
Made with Love in Singapore gave us some of their lovely washi tape. This stuff is SO cute! I am in love! They were kind enough to give us TWO sets to give away! SO awesome!

ReplyDeleteMy boyfriend and I recently celebrated our four-year anniversary together, so I made him a Tetris-themed card. I cut out little pieces and arranged them so they allow for a tetris (i.e., a four-line play) with a falling line block. He is a master of that game, and I don't know how he does it!
Also, my roommate's birthday is in a few days, so I made her a card based on the movie Up. She's an animation student and a HUGE Pixar fan, so I know she'll appreciate the "Adventure is out there!" sentiment. It was fun making all the little balloons and attaching them to a house with twine. :D
(I just hope she doesn't read this. I haven't given her the card yet!)

I have always loved washi tape and these are so cute! I recently sent some happy wishes to my cousin who is getting married soon!
ReplyDeleteMy SIL got a full time job after being laid off during this ruff economy so he got a "best wishes" card from me. Also my girlfriend got promoted to a VP of her company a week ago. Hopefully this means the economy is changing for the good!

ReplyDeleteI have an events calendar nearby my craft area and regularly send happy wishes to everyone listed on it! I love that it's close at hand and prompts me to send my cards out instead of "collect" them. LOL Love Love Love the card. It is so cute. And thanks for the chance to win that beautiful washi tape.
