We already have two places you can leave comments to win:
Our big giveaway post!!
Today is another look at "Bright Side", and we have some seriously gorgeous layouts today! We also have a little video on the bottom showcasing our Lawn Trimmings cord and fun ways to dye it!
We also a fun treat today as the absolutely spectacular Amy Heller is guest designing for us today!
Hi everyone! It's Amy Heller here today I'm so excited to be guesting for Lawn Fawn today! A little about me:
I was introduced to scrapping in 2004, like many scrappers, from an in-home party. But I didn't scrap with real consistency until 2008, once my kids were a bit older and out of their infancy stages. :) As a graphic designer by profession, this hobby has brought me back to the fundamental reasons why I fell in love with design in the first place : paper, color, letter form and layout. My style has, of course, evolved from those early days. Now I would definitely say that I have a fun, cheerful, colorful and whimsical style. I LOVE to layer pattern, color and texture (especially with buttons, ribbon and sewing). I think it's safe to say that I love to embellish on my work. :) I currently design for American Crafts, October Afternoon, and am a Garden Girl for Two Peas in a Bucket. I've been fortunate to have had my work published in several magazines ranging from Creating Keepsakes, Scrapbook Trends, CARDS, Paper Crafts as well as Scrapbooks and Cards Today. I am from the beautiful state of Washington, but I currently live in a small quintessential New England town in Connecticut with my awesome husband of 12 years, our daughter, 9, and our son who nearly 6.
Thank you so much for joining us today, Amy!
Remember to click on the person's name or card to see all of the details and leave these wonderful DT girls some comment love! :)
Amy's layout is one of those layouts that makes my jaw drop! I just love how she used Flutter By and paper piecing to create a gorgeous garden! The Lawn Trimmings twine looks amazing as the butterfly bodies, and the buttons look so cute on the flowers. I also adore how she tied the twine around the photos, too. The Bright Side stickers look fantastic with the mixed sized title. Thank you so much for the inspiration, Amy!
Tiffany's layout of her new baby girl is just perfect! How amazing are those flowers?! I love the Silver Lining chevron paper as the sky and her photos are just adorable! I just had to get a Lawn Fawn onesie made for our new little Fawnie and I think she looks adorable in it! :) The Lawn Trimmings twine looks great as the clothesline, too!
Melissa S.'s layout is so fun! I adore the strips on the sides of the layouts, and her custom cut titles are so cool! What a fun way to do a list of nicknames! Critters Ever After is the perfect set because Melissa's cat's name is Griffin! She also cut one of the cards out of our Happy Thoughts paper for journaling. Perfect!
Melissa M.'s layout is so fun. How cool are those circles?! I just love the pennants coming down, too. This is such a create go to layout! It is great how she picked out the kraft, teals and greys for her layout. It is a really fun color combo. Combining Claire's ABCs with the Bright Side stickers is perfect because they are the same font!
Kim's layout is so fun! I just love the Jump For Joy kraft paper as a background. The frames cut from patterned paper around the photos looks awesome, and I just love the way that Kim layered all of the strips. It looks as fun as her trip was! :)
Linda's layout is so clever! I just love the way she cut titles out in the Say Cheese polaroids and then layered the 6x6 papers behind it. So cool! The pennants were also done from the 6x6 papers which shows how fun these are to use on layouts. I also just love the airmail strips from You've Got Mail around the journaling. Perfect!
Make sure you click on each of the design team's names or pictures to go to their blogs and see the details of how they made their cards. You will walk away inspired for sure!
Now, I have a little video for you showing our Lawn Trimmings twine and some fun things you can do with it! I hope you enjoy it! Watch it below or at our You Tube channel.
Thank you so much for watching!
I hope you have enjoyed this look at "Bright Side". Tomorrow we have our intro to Flying By! For now, though, it's giveaway time! In honor of Melissa's layout leave us a comment telling us your pet's name (if you don't have a pet, tell us your favorite pet name) by March 28th at 10:00pm EDT, and we will randomly pick one winner!
Make sure to come back tomorrow, Tuesday March 26th, at 12:01am EDT for our next sneak peek day!
Thank you so much for all of your excitement for our inspiration week! Your comments, tweets, facebook and YouTube messages mean so much to us! Every one puts a big smile on our faces! We think Lawn Fawn fans are the best in the world. We love you guys! :)
Thank you so much for visiting!

ReplyDeleteI have two lab mixes, Reggie and Kobi. Both adopted from shelters last year.
ReplyDeleteWe used to have two dogs, Lucky and Chester. But my youngest is allergic so we had to give them up for adoption.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous projects, gorgeous products!

ReplyDeleteI'm so not a pet person, I know terrible... don't have one, don't have a favorite name, eek.
ReplyDeleteMy pet's name is HeiHei, which means Blackie in Mandarin Chinese. I usually call him Hei, especially when I want to get his attention. However, it gets a little awkward sometimes on walks, since "Hei" and "Hey" sound exactly the same, so people on the street look at me weirdly because I keep saying things like "Hey! Get off the grass!"
ReplyDeleteI have a Bernese Mountain Dog named Chibi.

ReplyDeleteI wish i had a kitty. It's my dream that someday i'll end up in MY PLACE where i dont' have to worry about MOVING coast to coast, over the ocean, and don't have to worry about the owner of the place! Anyways, my recent fav. is my online friend's new puppy's name; Meatball!! LOL!! i thoughtit was soo cute, and this puppy is so cute too! Thanks for this Experimenting videoo clip! Now i know what to work with your twines. I'm still impressed with your Packaging for twines, Kelly Marie! I have so many twines, and they are all tangled up and everytime i use, i have to just pull as much as i can and CUT, so that i can have Twine. I'm sure i'm wasting a lot. But this packaging, it's easy to store, and easy to use!! The best idea i've seen for twines!! :-)
ReplyDeleteI have a cute little doggie named Miko!

ReplyDeleteI never had a pet (except for "Goldie the goldfish" when I was a young kid and had no imagination for naming), but I love food names for pets. If I get a dog, I'd like to name him/her a tasty name like Cashew, Pancake, Butterscotch, or Biscuit. I'd pick the name based on the color of the dog's coat.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I'd like to point out that you wrote the giveaway's deadline being February 27th. Shouldn't it be March 27th? Unless we're all a month late, or 11 months too early. :P (No worries; we all make mistakes.)

ReplyDeleteI had small puppy called Romi some years back but he dies of infection. Stayed with us for just a month and I still miss him. He was so adorable!
My sister has a gorgeous dog, a Boxer called 'Thadie'. His name comes from the way her partner, Jamie, said his own name when he was a toddler. Such a cute idea for a pet's name :)
ReplyDeleteThe Bright Side papers look absolutely amazing in Amy's layouts. I'm in awe of all the paper piecing in the first layout - it's beautiful.

ReplyDeleteI have 2 dogs, Bailey and Chardonnay. I know it sounds like I might be an alcoholic, lol, but I promise I'm not. It worked, lol!
ReplyDeleteI currently have two dogs, they are littermates (they were the WHOLE litter, so we took both of them). Cooper is one of them, and he is named for Cooperstown Baseball Hall of Fame. Dobbie is the other one, and he was named Dobbie after the house elf in Harry Potter. My little Dobbie was named for Dobby because when we got him at 8 weeks old, he was all eyes and ears, just like Dobby. And, I put an "ie" at the end instead of a "y" to make it more diminutive since he is a little dog (20 pounds).
