Thank you all SO much for your amazing response to our paper. To say we are grinning from ear to ear is an understatement. I can't tell you how much that means to us! Big big big hugs to all of you! If you haven't seen it yet, check out our fun video and comment on our video post for a chance to win!

We have been so busy building our CHA booth today! Oh my goodness are we exhausted! (So please excuse any weird or confusing things I might be typing! Ha!) And tomorrow we start it all again! :) So for now, we thought it would be perfect to show you some new stamp sets! And, don't worry, we are going to be doing our fun inspiration weeks, just like always, when we are closer to the end of February and the release of the new products! :)

Handmade with Love is a sweet 2x3 mini set that is perfect for the back of your cards and for sweet tags on your homemade goodies, from cookies to knitted scarves!

Flutter By is a 4x6 set that is perfect for Spring! These butterflies and flowers are fun to color and to stamp on their own. We can't wait to see the beautiful cards you all create with this set!

Gnome Sweet Gnome is an uber cute 4x6 set that is perfect for clean and simple note cards to fun complicated scenes! Cards made with this set are sure to bring smiles! :)

Introducing ... (and a giveaway)

The video above was entirely made with Lawn Fawn paper and stickers! That's right! Lawn Fawn paper!!!!! From the very beginning we had this happy little dream for Lawn Fawn and adding this paper line fulfills a huge part of that dream! We could not be more thrilled to be able to offer 10 new stamp sets, 8 12x12 papers (two of which are a beautiful kraft), a 6x6 paper pad, a 12x12 alphabet sticker sheet, a 12x12 collection kit and two different "Lawn Trimmings" hemp cord packs! We hope that you guys are excited as we are! We have been working on this for so long, and we are so glad to finally be able to spill the beans!

Here is another little look at the collection:

We will be showing you the full sheets and, of course, our 10 new stamp sets during this coming week! We are going to try to tweet and facebook as much as possible from CHA. We already start moving in tomorrow! Make sure to follow our twitter account and our facebook page so you can see fun pics and videos!
All of these new products will ship at the end of February! Make sure to tell your favorite store about us! We will be at booth #2763, and we would love to meet them!

Here is the layout from the video that I made with one of my grandfather's favorite photos of us.

It is a quick and easy layout. I did add some stitching (with only minor injuries) which I think adds a little something! My grandmother was always sewing, so it is a little nod to her. :)

Now, we can't introduce something like this without a giveaway! We will give one lucky winner the whole collection: a 12x12 collection kit that includes the paper and stickers, a 6x6 paper pad and 2 packs of twine! Just leave us a comment by February 1st telling us what makes you "jump for joy" and we will randomly pick one winner!

More sneaky hints!

Hello, everyone! I just want to thank you all for your kind words, good thoughts, prayers and hugs. They mean so very much to me and have been so comforting during this tough time.

I have been trying to get back into the swing of things today. My grandfather loved my "negocio de tarjetas" (card business) as he called it and was so proud of it, so I think a few sneaks are in order, especially of a set I know he would have loved.

The image on the left is from a new mini set that is just so pretty and the three other images are from a 4x6 set that is uber cute!
We can't wait to show you more, but for now we have some fantastic cards from the design team!

Lynnette's card is just so cute! I adore how she made the cursive writing line from Schoolhouse Backdrops a road! Cruising Through Life, Bon Voyage and Admit One also went into this sweet card!

Teri's card is Valentine perfection! I just love how she used Love 'n Breakfast and Teeny Tiny Backdrops. How cool is this layout, too?!

I normally wouldn't post something like this on this blog, but I know so many of you have been worried and have sent good thoughts, prayers, love and hugs my family's way. On January 14th, 12 years, almost to the hour, after my grandmother passed, we lost my grandfather Juan Francisco Diaz Montero, who I lovingly called Bilo. This loss has been unimaginably hard. We were so close. We spoke every day on the phone for over 20 years. We both meant so much to each other, and even though I am glad he is now at peace, I miss him so very much.
Things will be a little slow around here as we try to get used to a new normal. We actually aren't even home yet. We are a family company and you are our family, too. We appreciate your patience as we try to get back into the swing of things, especially right before CHA.
I want to thank you all for your love and support during this tough time. I also want to thank Tiff for writing the previous post, and I want to thank our design team for their love and support, too.

CHA Prep and a sneaky hint!

Hello, everyone! So today I was supposed to have my mini book done. I didn't get it done :(. I really thought I would be able to get it done, but there is too much CHA stuff going on. That's okay, though! That just means more crafty fun later on, right? :)

Since no crafting got done I thought today would be a perfect day to start some sneaks for our big CHA release! I know! Finally! These are really mini sneaks because we happen to love surprises here at Lawn Fawn, and we want to surprise everyone at CHA! Every weekday until CHA we will show little sneaky hints of one set each day. We hope you guys love them!

Any guesses? :)

We also wish you all could be at CHA with us, but since that isn't possible, we thought we would create the next best thing! We are going to be sharing photos and videos during CHA from our Twitter and Facebook, and until then we will show some photos of our fun preparations!

1. I think the booths needs a yellow umbrella. Yup, it does! 2. Working on the catalog. 3. Some new booth decor. 4. CHA prep is exhausting for Putter. 5. We had to go and get our critters some new friends for the booth! 6. Our hand stitched backdrop! 7. Best.Socks.Ever. 8. Product photography time. 9. Could that be a new alpha we were testing? 10. Every outdoor table needs a gingham table cloth! 11. If you go to Lowe's and Home Depot enough you eventually get very silly. 12 &13. Pizza and donuts are necessary. 14. Ivy for the booth! 15. I couldn't resist another photo of Putter!

Lawn Clippings Wednesday with Chari!

Hawaii mini book

I heart Amy Tangerine! Not only is she just the sweetest, she also designs amazing paper and these fantastic mini books! I am having such a blast with this book!

I used some of Amy's fabric paper and Thickers to create the cover. Then I stamped out "twenty eleven" in Smitty's ABCs on to a Bannerific banner. Both of these sets are just so much fun for scrapbooking and mini books. I think journaling looks adorable in the banners, too!

I added some stitching to my card stock and frayed the edges of the fabric paper with my finger nail. I added some Distress Ink to my banner to go along with all of the stitching and fraying. This is just the beginning of my attempt to scrapbook my Hawaii trip from August/September. My goal is to finish by Thursday! Wish me luck!

Lawn Fawn CHA Winter 2012 Challenge!

We seriously love you guys! We could not do this without you! It would be an honor to include some of your cards in our catalog and booth at the Craft and Hobby Association (CHA) trade show this January, so we are holding a little challenge here on the blog!
In addition to being featured in our catalog and booth, the 3 winners (one for each category below) will each get a $75 gift certificate to be used on Lawn Fawn goodies! Woohoo!

Now, because it is for our catalog, we do have a couple of guidelines:

We are looking for cards using any one of these stamp set categories:

Any Critters sets and/or Hats Off to You - You may use any combination of these sets. (For example a card using just Critters in the Forest works or a card using Critters in the 'Burbs, Critters in the Sea and Hats Off to You works, too!)
Plus One (Please make Plus One the main feature of the card.)
Admit One (Please make Admit One the main feature of the card.)

You may not use patterned paper. Eeks! I know! This is tough but a fun challenge! You may still use any colored card stock or paper, ribbon, buttons, markers, pencils, etc. If you have any questions. Let us know!
You may not use any other company's stamps on your card. We don't want to confuse anyone! :)
If your card is chosen, you must provide us with a high resolution photo of your card right away so that we can include it in the catalog. Then you will need to send us the card so that we can show it off in our booth!
You may enter as many times as you would like!
You have until January 5th at 10:00pm EST to enter. We will announce the winner January 6th.

Happy Hanukkah!

Hello everyone! Today we have a fun Hanukkah tag!

I used our Happy Hanukkah set to create this fun tag! I wanted it to be really sparkly and shiny so I silver heat embossed the Menorah and sentiment. I used some American Crafts glitter cardstock on the bottom and a transparency from Hambly over some blue cardstock on the top.

I sewed on some beautiful May Arts ribbon (after gluing it in place with some Glue Arts ribbon adhesive. I love that stuff!) Then I added some yellow Stickles for the candles and some more May Arts ribbon to tie it on with!
I can't wait to send this tag! I bought the perfect present to go with it! :)

Tiffany's card is so fun! She used Making Frosty Friends, Hats Off to You, Pa-Rum-Pa-Pum-Pum, Smitty's ABCs and Cozy Christmas! The sweaters she made with Bake Me A Cake and she used masking to create a bigger Say Cheese polaroid! I just adore how she made tacky Christmas sweater wearing snowmen. Brilliant! She used the Hi Tac adhesive to adhere the small pieces and U Cut It Foam to pop the polaroid off the card!

Teri's card is such a sweet combo of Love 'n Breakfast, My Silly Valentine and Teeny Tiny Backdrops. I just love this layout and the twine holding up the socks! She used the Glue Glider Pro and the U Cut It foam to create this lovely card!

Lawnscaping Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Lawanscaping Blog Hop! So glad you’re here! You should have come to me by way of the fabulous Laurel Beard. This theme is all about RED!!! The hop runs from Friday, December 9th - Sunday, December 11th! Make sure to comment on all of the blogs because there are LOTS of prizes to be won! I had such a fun time with this challenge! I decided to use two neutrals (kraft and white) and make red the main event! I stamped Frosties snowflakes in white to make a custom background. I also inked the edges of the card in white to give it that "frosty" look :). Then I heat embossed Quinn's ABCs in white, cut out the letters and filled them in with red Stickles - custom faux letter stickers! I used Harold's ABCs to finish off my greeting. The finishing touch was some gorgeous May Arts Ribbon! I like that it looks like a present with the bow!

Teri's card is so fun! She used Smitty's ABCs to customize the Love 'n Breakfast sentiment even further! The frying pan with two heart shaped pancakes looks so sweet, and I love the My Cup of Tea steam mixed with hearts from Love 'n Breakfast. Adorable!

Latisha's card is so happy! I love the patterned paper she made, and the breakfast in bed table on top of the sentiment strip looks so cute! Those three gems are the perfect addition! This is one cheerful Love 'n Breakfast card! :)

I just love Julie's vintage sweet card! The little salt and pepper shakers look perfect on that heart, and I love how she curved the sentiment around her circle! So sweet! This is a perfect Valentine's Day card!

Nichol's card is adorable! I love that smiling muffin and the border of tiny hearts and pearls. The hearts actually look like little pearl hearts. So cute! This is sure to give someone a smile!

Lynnette's card is so cute! I love that border of Love 'n Breakfast images. Too fun! The breakfast in bed table looks adorable in traditional Valentine's Day colors of red and pink! This would be such a fun card to give!

Tiffany's 3D cake is too cool! I am just in love! I adore her multicolored custom sentiment and her fun combination of sets! That little hair bow on the salt is so sweet, too! She used Blissful Botanicals, Petite Florals, Smitty's ABCs, Happily Ever After and Love 'n Breakfast to create this project!

Chari's card is so sweet! I love this scene she created! The rosy cheeks and powdered sugar on the muffin are too cute! She used Harold's ABCs and the steam from My Cup of Tea to help finish off her card. I also love how she used the plate from the breakfast in bed table separately. So cute!

Nichol's card is super cute! I love love the way she put the toast in the toaster! Those scallops are super fun and the little blush marks on the toaster and toast are too sweet!

Lea's clean and simple card is so perfect! That scored line and the single heart gem look so fantastic. I love the way she put the salt and pepper shakers and the eggs and bacon both on the card. This is perfect for the guy in your life!

Julie's box is so much fun! The woo-hoo from Critters in the Forest is a perfect addition to Love 'n Breakfast! I love how she put one of the toast still in the toaster. Adorable! That spring is just too cute, too!

Latisha's card is fantastic! I love that she put the toast off to the side. It looks so cute that way, too! I also love this layout! Absolutely fantastic! The sentiment stamped over the patterned paper looks great, too!

Tiffany's pop up card is so clever and fun! I just love the idea of a pop up card with this sentiment! The toaster and toast make it even cuter, and Quinn's ABCs is the perfect addition to these fun Amy Tangerine papers!

Lynnette's card is so much fun! Those googly eyes are just perfect on the toast and toaster! I also love this layout. Another go-to layout for sure!

Julie's card is just so sweet and whimsical. I just adore her vintage-whimsy style! She created her reindeer with Critters in the Snow and her sentiment is from Pa-Rum-Pa-Pum-Pum. I love the way the reindeer look like they are going to fly off the card. So fun!

Teri's project is too cute! She used Frosties and Making Frosty Friends. How fun are those buttons?! To create her snowy flakes she heat embossed them in white and then smudged some white ink with her fingers in the center. It really makes them look frosty!

Nichol's card using Ornate Ornaments and Cozy Christmas is absolutely gorgeous! All of that texture and glitter is just perfect for the holidays! Absolutely stunning!

Lynnette's card just makes me smile! She created her scene with Critters in the Forest and Frosties. The deer from Critters in the Snow looks amazing with Winter Bunny's scarf! Bows and Holly provides a great sentiment for this whimsical winter scene!

How gorgeous is this card by Lea? I absolutely adore how she took the sentiment from Making Frosty Friends and created a vintage layered card. Lea shows that this set can go from cute to shabby perfectly!

Tiffany's box and card set is so cute and clever! This is just perfect for giving someone the perfect little gift! I love how they coordinate! All of the images from Bows and Holly are just perfect for this set. I love the custom patterned paper with the bow! Adorable!

Teri's card is so adorable! How sweet are those rosy cheeks on the Making Frosty Friends snowmen? This card idea is just perfect for celebrating your closest friends during the holidays. I also love the Teeny Tiny Backdrops background. It goes perfectly with the sentiment!

Chari's card is so sweet! I adore the Bows and Holly wreath as the "O" in joy. So clever! The Teeny Tiny Backdrops stars are just perfect for the holidays and the side bow makes this card look like a perfectly wrapped present!

I decided to make a warm and cozy card today since today is the first day of November, and it is finally below 80 degrees here! I created the label by laying some MixTape down on card stock and then die-cutting it. Afterwards I stamped the Many Thanks sentiment in StazOn (since the tape was a bit slick), but I made sure the stamp didn't ink that well to give it a worn, shabby look. I also stamped Schoolhouse Backdrops on a strip of Sunflower card stock and distressed it. It is so nice to create my own strips of patterned paper when I don't have the right thing to match!

I had a lot of fun creating a card out of my normal style, and it was really fun to take cute stamps and make them a little more shabby with inking techniques and patterned papers!

(Also, this is one of those cards that was just impossible to photograph. The colors are much prettier in real life! Don't you hate when that happens?)
